Encouraging performance from Stoke side

October 11, 2017

STOKE Bar & Grill are still looking for their first victory of the season after 37 defeats in the Plymouth and District Friday League, but there were some encouraging performances in their 8-5 loss against Brookisde – a team that has already tasted success 23 times throughout the campaign.

The Stoke side also achieved their first highest checkout of the week accolade when they had Wayne Hobbs finishing from 116.

Tabletoppers Kings Tamerton CC have a three-point advantage after winning 11-2 away at The Windmill while Jolly Miller had arguably their best result to date when winning all but one of the 13 points when hosting Queens Dock.

MAXIMUM MAN: Andy Bates top scored for Royal Naval Arms A, aided by three maximum scores of 180

Glyn Wells (100x11) top scored for City Social in their 8-5 success away at GWRSA (Laira) while Porters A consolidated second spot with a 10-3 win over stablemates Porters B.

An outshot of 110 from Rhys Yates was the highlight of the Waterloo derby match and the bragging rights were won by Waterloo B when they defeated Waterloo C 11-2.

Third placed Royal Naval Arms A were 9-4 winners away at Indian A and had Andy Bates top scoring with 11 throws of a ton or more which included three maximums.

There was no least number of darts recorded from any of the 12 result sheets.
