Porters C came from behind and clinched the last two singles through George Tucker and Al Martin for a win by the narrowest of margins against Waterloo B.

Indian Inn A also had to settle for a 7-6 victory, despite leading Waterloo A 4-1, while Steam Packet A won 8-5 on their visit to Indian Inn B.

Royal Naval Arms A triumphed 11-2 when hosting Porters B and had Andy Bates (31.28) recording the week’s top game when securing his singles in 32.

The feat was also equaled in a doubles game by Matt Thompson and Neal Hotchkiss, both hitting a maximum in the leg, inspiring Steam Packet B to a 9-4 success against Maritime B.

Brookside had their progress halted when they went down 8-5 at home to The Tradesman.
