PORTERS B stretched their unbeaten record to 15 matches in the Plymouth City Super League with an accomplished performance against Clifton B which brought them a 10-1 victory.
The Barbican side won all six singles without dropping a leg, spearheaded by John Mann (31.31) who won in 15, 16, and 17, aided by a brace of 180s.
He was well supported by Mike Beard (27.83), a winner in 20, 17 and 17 and Mark Yeoman (28.90) who took out an 18-darter with a kill of 109, in between games won in 20 and 14.
CONSISTENT: Mark Yeoman showed consistent form for Porters B winning 3-0 in 20, 18 and 14 as well as making a kill of 109.
That victory has now brought Porters B to within six points of the leaders after The Staddy defeated Maritime B 8-3.
Jim Pitkin emerged a 3-0 winner with his best leg being claimed in 14 and in a 3-2 success from Dave Algar, the marksman hit two maximums and a checkout of 105.
Catching the eye for the visitors was Neil White (29.47) who won 3-0 in 15, 18 and 18 and achieved the week’s top outshot with a mark of 128.
Ships Tavern secured all but one of the 11 points that were on offer away at Victoria while Octagon emerged 9-2 winners at Hyde Park and Ker St won 7-4 when hosting St Levan Inn.
Dartsworld kept up their assault on the leaders with an 11-0 whitewash of Porters A with good wins from Keelan Kay, who hit a 12-darter in winning 3-0 and Matt Vosper who emerged a 3-1 winner, aided by a leg in 13.
The Cons Club derby match was won by the B team 7-4, but failed to live up to the pre-match hype while Clifton A defeated Kings Arms A by the same scoreline.
Despite ending up on the losing side, Dan Hill (100x14) impressed for the Oreston side while Maritime A and The Albemarle both won 8-3 against Compton Social Club and The Fawn respectively.
