DARTSWORLD lost ground on the Plymouth City Super League leaders when they were edged out 6-5, for their fourth defeat of the campaign.
They led 5-4, but 3-0 victories for both Fred Goldsmith and Lee Hellings was enough for Octagon Social Club to prevail by the narrowest of margins.
The highlight of the fixture though was a 28-dart (35.75) doubles success for Danny Allen and Keelan Kay before Allen went on to win his singles 3-1, aided by a leg in 13.
Porters B made it 22 wins on the bounce when they defeated Plympton Cons A, despite having to field two reserves.

Both teams contributed to an excellent fixture that produced four maximums and as many ton plus outshots before Porters won 7-4, inspired by a good performance from Phil Stewart (100x16).

The Staddy consolidated their position at the top of the table with a 10-1 win away at Kings Arms B who had had Chrissie Kinnaird (100x12) preventing the whitewash when she was their lone winner.
Maritime A won 8-3 on their visit to Porters A while the same winning scoreline was also achieved by Ker St Social Club away at Clifton B.
Paul Tackle fared well in the individual phases and emerged a 3-0 winner, with his best leg being won in 14.
Martyn Down hit a 15-darter in winning his singles 3-1 but finished up on the wrong end of a 7-4 scoreline when Kings Arms A were defeated at Compton Social Club.
Maritime B had Neil White (100x16) as their leading marksman when inflicting a 10-1 defeat on St Levan Inn but the plaudits were won by Maria O’Brien who put an excellent performance for St Levan.
In winning the solitary point for her team, the BDO World Championship finalist defeated Billy Evans 3-2, with her best legs coming in 14 and 19 and she also top scored when hitting no fewer than 19 scores of a ton or more throughout.
The remaining three fixtures were all won 7-4 by The Albemarle, Clifton A and Plympton Cons B.
