Ker St defeated by Warriors and drop to second place
KER St Social Club have lost their place at the top of Devon County Super League's premier division after they were beaten 7-2 by Winchester Warriors.
The Exeter side were good value for their win and are now the new leaders with an eight-point advantage.
Gary Phillips (24.99) won after being pushed the full distance while the Devonport side’s only other success came from Scott Lawrey (25.69) who won in four straight legs.
Poison Ivy continue to do well in division one and are just a single point behind the leaders after defeating Heathcoat Club (Tiverton) 7-2.
Neil White (23.24) opened their account with a 4-2 victory and the same winning margin was also attained by Mike Pearce (22.74).
Kenny McCollum (22.56) emerged a 4-1 winner followed by a good comeback from Fred Goldsmith (21.76) who came from a 3-0 deficit to win 4-3.
Dan Puleston (19.65) won without loss to give the Westward Inn their victory but two more at the end from Dave Matthews (26.03) and Tex Pearce (22.77) sealed a convincing performance.
Both Matthews and Pearce (pictured above) won in four straight legs with Pearce taking out checkouts of 107 and 134.
The Bluebird made it five wins from as many starts and command a three-point advantage at the top of division two.
Mark Henley (25.69) got the first point on the board with a 4-0 success, aided by a 13-darter only for Dilly Dillys (Exeter) to draw level at 1-1.
Rich Coombs (24.14) and Stew Roberts (24.74) both won 4-0 while Keith Whitley (17.94) won 4-1 as did Tony Reid (21.59) and Lee Soper (17.90).
The visitors pulled one back but Steve Barnes (22.27) finished the 7-2 victory with a 4-0 success.
