Ton up for Victory Inn A as they go top of table after 12
VICTORY A are the first team to make it to the 100-point barrier in the Porters Function Room 501 Top 20 League and it took them just 12 matches, following a 10-1 win against Duchy of Cornwall.
In a high-scoring fixture that produced six maximum scores, two from Victory’s Paul Flower, the hosts had Neil White (pictured below) emerging a 3-1 winner in 17, 18 and 20, while also prominent with 3-0 successes were Gary Phillips (26.84) 15, 17, 24 and Scott Lawrey (26.84) 16, 19, 21.
The Honicknowle side have a two-point advantage over last week’s leaders Porters Patriots who defeated Maritime Marauders 7-4 in yet another high-profile fixture that produced 123 scores of a ton or more.

John Mann (100x15) won 3-1 with his best legs coming in 15 and 17 and was well supported by Antony Hayman (100x16) and Andy Bates (100x16) who won 3-0 and 3-2 respectively.
Mike Pearce (27.33) was best for Maritime, securing a 3-0 singles victory in 19, 18 and 18.
Simon Stevenson warmed up on Tuesday night for today’s PDC Players Championship finals with a 3-0 success in 13, 12 and 18, posting an outstanding average of 34.95 while also hitting the week's top outshot of 140.
Paul Gavican also gave a good account of himself and as well as achieving a 3-1 singles success, top scored with 15 ton plus throws.
A well contested fixture saw Fawn B win by the narrowest of margins when hosting Kings Arms, so close to call that no fewer than five of the six singles also went the full distance.
Fred Goldsmith (100x14) emerged a 3-1 winner for Fawn B, aided by a leg in 15 and Lee Hellings put himself 2-1 in front with outshots of 105 and 106 but was pegged back to be defeated by Dave Collins (100x14).
Victory Inn B came from behind and won the last two singles to prevail 6-5 away at Cherry Tree while a total of 123 ton plus scores were on show when Maritime Governors defeated Porters Pretenders 7-4.
Brewery Tap were good value for their 8-3 success away at Octagon Social Club, inspired by Glynn Wells, a 3-1 winner in 15, 21, 21 and Kieran Burns (26.37) whose three straight legs were achieved in 16, 20 and 21.
Fawn A and Indian Inn A both won 6-5 on the road at Maritime Nutters and Compton respectively but Jodie Hawton caught the eye for the Nutters when she emerged a 3-2 winner, aided by a leg in 15.
Maritime Musketeers were the week’s biggest winners and secured maximum points away at Indian Inn B, buoyed by an outshot of 134, executed by Phil Evans.
