Eighty points from eight matches is league title form

THE Patriots maintained their quotient of winning 10 points a match in the Porters Function Room 501 Top 20 League, when they played their stablemates Porters Pretenders.

Andy Bates (30.06) (pictured) was on target with a brace of 180s and was prominent in the singles when winning 3-0 in 14, 15 and 21.

At the other end of the table, Falstaff registered their first victory of the campaign when they returned from The Clifton with a 10-1 success while Octagon Social Club also won on the road and defeated Fawn A 8-3.

Maritime Governors won 8-3 away at Cherry Tree and had Lee Hellings emerging a 3-1 winner in 21, 19 and 16 while Scott Hutchinson was on target with two 180s.

Maritime Misfits overcame Kings Arms 7-4 and had Dave Matthews (26.84) winning in 21, 18 and 17 while Frankie Stout, one of five players still unbeaten in the singles, top scored with 14 throws of a ton or more.

Lee Rodmell hit a 15-darter in a 3-0 singles success but finished up on the wrong side of a 6-5 scoreline when Maritime Musketeers won the last two games to deliver a victory.

Fred Goldsmith (100x12) clinched legs in 16 and 15 before going on to claim a 3-1 singles success, inspiring Fawn B to a 7-4 win at Victory B.

Jadon Whitting (100x14) top scored for the winners with Graham Farrow (100x14) replying for Victory.

Jordan Grimshaw won 3-0, aided by a 13-darter and Maria O’Brien achieved two 180s as Brewery Tap triumphed 7-4 away at The Office.

Dan Johnson, Jadon Whitting and Andrew Nation all hit the week’s top checkout of 120 while also on target were: Peter Holland (110), Reg Matthews (105), Neil Reid (105), Fred Goldsmith (102).
