All the Tap team hit 180s in near perfect performance

November 12, 2019

BREWERY Tap produced a near perfect performance as they took all 11 points away at Bluebird Bandits in the Plymouth City Super League scoring 52 throws of a ton or more which included eight maximums.

John Mann secured three 180s and all remaining team members scored one each before going through the singles dropping just a single leg.

The best game was a doubles success in 27 (37.07) for Mann and Scott Wapshott while in the individual phases both Andy Bates and Antony Hayman hit 15-darters.

But there is no change at the top of the table after their title rivals Octagon Social Club also won with maximum points when hosting The Clifton.

Neil White and Dave Pethick (pictured) won their doubles in 31 darts (32.29) and White was also prominent in the singles with a 3-0 win in 17, 18 and 21 (26.84) as was Lee Hellings (26.84) with a win in 17, 19 and 20.

Pethick made a kill of 112 and also the week’s highest checkout of 160.

Victory Inn A and The Staddy both won in double figures when defeating Victoria Inn and Cherry Tree respectively while in a much closer encounter, Maritime B came from behind and won the last three singles to win by the narrowest of margins when hosting Ker St B.

Dave Collins (100x13) top scored for Plympton Cons A in a 7-4 win away at The Fawn, the same winning scoreline that was also achieved by St Levan Inn on their visit to Hyde Park Social Club.

The B team won themselves the bragging rights after defeating their stablemates Kings Arms A 6-5 while Kings Tamerton had to pull out all the stops away at Ker St Social Club and win the last four singles for a 6-5 victory.

Plympton Cons B defeated Steam Packet 7-4 while Maritime A, who had Jonathan Easterbrook (100x13) as their leading marksman won 8-3 at Victory B.

Best for the hosts was a 3-0 singles victory executed by Quinton Taylor (29.47) in 16, 17 and 18.

Notable outshots were achieved by: Tom James (153), Antony Hayman (153), John Mann (136), Mike Nancholas (118), Neil White (117), John Brownlow (111), Dave Collins (104), Paul Hoare (101).
