THE Patriots were absolutely ruthless in their latest Porters Function Room 501 Top 20 League fixture and defeated a very good Octagon side 11-0.
Seven maximums were record, two from Octagon’s Tony Perkin while his-team mate Alfie Ford (100x15) was their top scorer.
But this was all about Porters Patriots. They put 72 throws of a ton or more on the scoreboard, led by Andy Bates (100x17) and John Mann (100x14) who both hit 15-darters when winning their singles 3-2 and 3-0 respectively.
Mann and Malcolm Johns secured their 601 doubles in two straight legs with their best coming in a very creditable 14 darts.
Maritime Governors did all the scoring when hosting Fawn A, but couldn’t convert their advantage at the business end of games and with only one victory from the last four singles were edged out 6-5.

Dare (100x13) and Hellings won their 601 doubles 2-0, aided by a leg in 18, and Dan Johnson (100x14) top scored.
Porters Pretenders took maximum points from visitors Victory Inn B while Maritime Musketeers, with Lee Agar (100x14) prominent, took all but one of the 11 points that were on offer against stable-mates Maritime Nutters.
Kings Arms defeated Torpoint Cons 9-2, the same winning scoreline that was achieved by Brewery Tap on their visit to Indian Inn.
Kieran Burns and Maria O’Brien complimented each other in the doubles, and in winning 2-0, claimed their best leg in 21 darts.
