PDC launch Home Tour and Stevenson is in the mix

THE Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) will tonight start a new initiative with the launch of “The Home Tour”. Players will have the luxury of playing in their own homes and Plymouth’s Simon Stevenson will be in the mix. World Champion Peter Wright starts the first of 32 nights of action tonight from his Suffolk home and will first play Peter Jacques. Sibley's nine-darter was not the first recorded in Duchy

LOOKING back through my archives, it was 15 years ago next month in 2005, that I reported that Colin Sibley became the first Cornishman to hit the perfect nine-dart game in a competitive match . . . but he wasn’t. It has since transpired that that accolade went to a 46-year-old building manager some 24 years earlier.
