Porters B consolidate at top of table with 11-0 victory

PORTERS B consolidated their position at the top of the Plymouth City Super League table with an 11-0 victory away at Kings Arms A.

They have now gone 28 matches undefeated and although they have played a game more than their rivals, hold an eight-point advantage over second placed The Staddy who won 8-3 at Clifton A.

Marc Cresswell was their form player and in winning his singles 3-2, claimed his best legs in 14 and 17.

Dartsworld whitewashed a depleted Clifton B side and had Danny Bull and Mark Turner both notching a brace of 180s with the former hitting a 14-dart leg in a 3-0 singles success.

FORM PLAYER: Dave Pethick was Octagon's form player and took out a 12-dart leg when finishing with a kill of 121 after throws of 100, 140 and 140.

Sarah Brown (100x10) top scored and was St Levan Inn’s sole winner in the individual phases before they crashed to a 9-2 defeat by The Albemarle.

Kings B and Plympton Cons A also won by a 9-2 margin when they visited The Fawn and Hyde Park respectively.

Maritime B secured all but one of the 11 points when they hosted Victoria while Plympton Cons B came from behind and claimed the last two points through Steve Hiscox (100x12) and John Donald to win by the narrowest of margins.

Octagon recorded 55 throws of a ton or more on their way to a 9-2 victory against Porters A.

Dave Pethick was their form player and in winning 3-0, took out a 12-dart with throws of 100, 140, 140 before checking out at the first time of asking from 121.

Maritime A returned from Ker St Social Club with an 8-3 victory, but the hosts had Paul Tackle as their only singles winner and he recorded the week’s top checkout with a mark of 125.

Other notable outshots were achieved by: Billy Evans (113), Brian Bibik (110), Malcolm Johns (101), Scott Wapshott (100).
