THE top two places now look assured in the Plymouth City Super League, but the third placed prizemoney is still up for grabs with that position at the moment held by Octagon Social Club who defeated Maritime B 7-4.

The visitors though had Darren Collis on target with two maximums and Neil White achieved the best stats in the individual phases when winning 3-2 in 18, 19 and 25.

Chasing Octagon to the finishing line though are Dartsworld who are just four points behind with a game in hand following their 8-3 victory away at Clifton A.

In only the second treble of the match Lewis Dare, Mark Turner and Paul Goundry secured their treble in 33 (30.33).

Turner went on to hit two maximums and Dare (pictured left), in a 3-0 singles victory, achieved the joint highest checkout of the week with a mark of 130.

The Albemarle whitewashed Clifton B 11-0 and there was also a maximum points win for Maritime A when they entertained Victoria.

Plympton Cons B returned from Ker St with an 8-3 success while Porters A defeated Kings B 8-3.

Porters led 7-0 before the Oreston side won their first point through Tony Sansom who won 3-1, aided by a leg in 14.

Hyde Park Social Club overcame Compton 9-2, the same winning scoreline that was also achieved by Kings Arms A when hosting The Fawn.

That fixture produced five maximums, two each for Dave Roberts and Pete Down and the best game was a 38-dart double success for Martyn Down and Mike Speller (26.34).

Ship Inn pushed Plympton Cons A the full distance despite winning only two individual games, one of which was a 3-0 victory for Rob Oak, aided by a leg in 15.

Dave Collins showed consistent form throughout and top scored with 15 throws of a ton or more while Kelvin Rowe and Steve Brocklesby won the last two points to give the Plympton side a 6-5 victory.

Porters B secured all but one of the 11 points on offer when they hosted St Levan Inn.

The fixture produced no fewer than seven maximum scores, three from Phil Stewart, two from Lee Rodmell and their Porters team mate Scott Wapshott (pictured right) equalled the week’s highest checkout with a kill of 130.

Other notable finishes were achieved by: Mark Gilbert (126), Malcolm Johns (116), John Mann (116), Jack Heath (110), Mark Hopkins (110), Shane Mudge (110).
