Maritime hit 150 points and extend lead in Friday P&D

MARITIME hit the 150-point mark after just 14 matches in the Plymouth and District Friday League and achieved another clean sheet when winning 13-0 away at Porters B.

Jordan Grimshaw secured the last point of the match when he finished his singles with the week’s highest checkout of 122.

Second placed Office A were also prominent and took all but one of the 13 points that were on offer when playing their stablemates Office B.

Andrew Nation (pictured) recorded the week’s top game when winning in 31 for a 32.29 average and Paul Flower hit a checkout of 100.

Mainstone CC came from behind and won the last two singles through David Jones and Vern Lavers which enabled them to edge out Dartsworld B 7-6 while Ker St secured maximum points with a 13-0 drubbing of Royal Naval Arms.

Mark Hatherley won in 38 (26.34) but finished up on the wrong end of an 8-5 scoreline when Indian B were defeated by The Tradesman.

A win in 35 from Steve Daley (28.60) was the highlight of Octagon’s 10-3 defeat of Porters C while there was a win in double figures for The Fawn when they overcame Firkin scholar 12-1.

Maximum points were also gained by Indian Inn A away at Firkin Doghouse, the highlight being a double’s win in 37 (27.05) for Pete James and Steve Ebsworth.

James then went on to win his singles when finishing at the first time of asking from 100.

In the remaining matches, Porters A defeated Pennycross Social Club 8-5 and Weston Mill Oak Villa were 10-3 winners against visitors Brewery Tap.
