Burns In Blistering Form

Fourteen tons from Kieran Burns, including a 110 highest checkout of the week, accented a 12-1 success for Victory Inn over Grenville in the Plymouth and District Friday Darts League.



That mammoth finish, plus of one two maximums for the youngster, came in a 30 dart trebles success when teaming with Ben Webb and Des Dugdale for a 33.37 single dart average.


Jayden Dodd (37.75) was the undoubted star of the show with a quite spectacular 28 dart 1001 leg during an 11-2 win for Tradesmans A over Octagon B



Dodd was well supported throughout by Mike O'Brien who reached ten tons personally whilst there was also a 180 for Richard Wheatley in his singles.


One of the two points won by the Octagon saw Simon Washington grab himself a maximum for the only noteworthy contribution of a difficult night for his team.



Mainstone still top the standings after defeating Indian Inn 8-5 with the main highlight from the leaders coming from Roy Osgood's 102 checkout.


Despite ending on the wrong side of a narrow defeat, Mark Hatherley was still his impressive self with two maximums during his singles.



King Billy continued their fine start to the season with a 13-0 whitewash win over Tradesmans B that saw Matt Abbott finish from 105 in one visit.


Sean Taylor bagged himself a maximum in Brewery Tap's 9-4 win over Queens Arms, which was their ninth from ten starts.



Queen and Constitution secure all points on offer against Devonport neighbours Lugger whilst Kings Tamerton are now joint top of the standings thanks to an 11-2 success.


The evergreen Richard Lynch is still clear at the top of the individual standings are winning his singles for the new shared leaders.



Adrian Veale's 96 combination out shot was was the main highlight of an 11-2 success for the Ker St B in their Ker St derby match against their A team.
