Lee Hellings (28.90) nailed a trio of 180s in a 3-0 individual triumph that contained legs in 17 and 15 darts as his Octagon team were 9-2 winners at Ford Inn in the Plymouth City Super League Division A.

The victors started as they meant to go on, with Andy Bates, John Mann, and Alfie Ford (28.60) adding a 1001 leg in 35 darts to open up the rout, which also yielded the first maximum of nine in the contest.

Hellings teamed with Neil White and Mark Williams (26.34) to put away 1001 points in 38 darts to build a 2-0 lead.

ree

By the time White added his team's second maximum of the contest in a 2-0 doubles reversal, his team was 4-1 up going into the singles.

Ford completed a ten ton haul by the end of the first singles, and in amongst that 3-1 win was a 114 three dart combination outshot.

ree

The man Ford defeated was Scott Cook, who ended his night on eleven ton plusses, whilst teammate Lee Rodmell put up his team's first maximum of the contest in an otherwise fruitless 3-0 loss against Bates.

Hellings' aforementioned heroics followed, and he walked away from the oche with twelve tons before an epic encounter between Mark Shears and Mann, which ended 3-2 to the latter.

ree

Mann's leg in 16 decided the matchup, but it was Shears who led the 180 scoring in this particular contest with two to Mann's one.

When Mann's ton plus total was totted up, it left him with fourteen for a good night's work, a tally that White matched at the end of his 3-0 singles success.

Tex Pearce (27.83) stormed to a 3-0 singles win for St Levans with a 16 darter, his best during a 6-5 success at Indian Inn A.

Pearce ended his night on ten ton plusses for the victors, a haul that included one of a trio of 180s that were put onto the scoreboard during the hotly contested matchup.

ree

Pearce's teammate Anna Pearce added the other maximum for the away side in a fine 3-1 singles win that also yielded an 18 dart leg.

A second leg that was put away in just 18 darts came in a 3-1 win for John Sturdy, who also produced a finish of 72 in a single visit.

ree

As the scoreline suggests, it wasn't all one way traffic as Scott Lawrey provided most of the firepower for the home team with twelve ton plusses.

A 180 for Lawrey was included in that haul, and he was supported well by Leighton Wilson, who added ten tons to his night's work.

ree

Two ton plus checkouts were added during the doubles phase as Darren Collis' 111 kill was bettered only by a 150 from Kelvin Rowe, which took the prize for the highest checkout of the week.

Simon Stevenson once again led Legends Lounge B to an 8-3 triumph against the visitors from Steampacket as Stevenson ended his night with eighteen scores of a ton or more.

ree

Two 180s ticked that ton plus total over to that mark, whilst Stevenson was supported by Matt Vosper and Andy Malinowski, who added twelve and eleven tons each.

Stevenson and Vosper teamed in the 601 doubles to nail a 16 darter over that distance before the individuals bore more fruit for the pair.

Stevenson added legs in 17 and 15 darts during his 3-0 win before Vosper added a 15 darter of his own in another 3-0 triumph.

The only respite for the defeated away side came in the form of Mike Connell's 106 checkout and a maximum from his stablemate Phil Taylor.

ree

Fifteen ton plusses rained down from the arm of Lee Doncaster as that mammoth contribution led King Billy A to a 7-4 victory against Tradesmans.

Doncaster was well supported by Tony Tasker, who secured an eleven-ton haul, and there were five 180s shared between the two teams.

ree

Doncaster added to efforts from Paul Goundy and Kev Lofthouse, whilst Rob May and Lewis Byrne both netted maxi for the visitors.

Both Steve Mills and Martyn Down notched 180s on their way to eleven three figure visits that helped Kings Arms B to a 9-2 win versus Legends Lounge C.

ree

Reg Cornish provided the third maxi overall, and his team's only three treble visit, whilst Simon Kelly showed one moment of his brilliance with a 96 combination out.

Mike Nancholas was an eleven ton hitter for Fawn A, which led the Greenbank based outfit to a 9-2 win over Kings Tamerton.

ree

Nancholas' teammate Dave Roberts fired the best checkout of the matchup with a 124 kill, whilst the only moment of magic for the defeated team came from Kriston Gargett's 180.

Bluebird A's 9-2 win versus Raffles B was lit up by a trio of players that nailed eleven tons as Glenn Halford, Dale Halford, and Glenn Austin all fired.

ree

Glenn Halford also contributed to the highlight reel from the business end as he nailed a 14 darter in a 3-0 win, as well as an 80 checkout that was the only effort to better a 76 kill from Lee Dennis.

Ryan Fuller bagged himself ten tons for Legends Lounge A but still found himself on the wrong end of a 10-1 win as Cherry Tree D prevailed.

ree

A 130 three dart combination topped up Fuller's ton total outshot that bettered an 80 finish from teammate Scott Hutchinson.

Arthur Pearce led the charge for the victors with ten tons that included one of the four maximums his team piled into the wall.

ree

Quinton Taylor, Phil Hoyle, and Nick Bryant all added to the three treble visit stats with solitary efforts, whilst three finishes in the nineties were plundered.

Nick Bryant's 99 was the best of those, as 96 and 94 kills from Dave Lee and Hoyle gave them the platform to take 3-2 and 3-0 singles successes.

ree

Taylor and Lee provided the best leg of 601 as their 17 darter over that distance proved crucial, whilst Bryant put up a leg in 14 helped him on his way to a 3-0 victory.
