Never Too Many Cooks In Premier League

Brothers Andrew and Scott Cook shared thirty three figure scores as they turned out for opposite sides in the Monday Premier League clash between King Billy and Victory B that finished 8-3 to the latter.

Andrew hit the lion's share of that ton total with a remarkable seventeen tons and the pair played out a fabulous game in the singles with Scott getting the better of his sibling this time around by a 3-2 score.

The legs Andrew won were in 16 and 17 darts but Scott ploughed in a 92 to take the win and also hit one of three maximums from his Honicknowle team as Paddy Archibald and Paul Gavican also struck.

Scott Wapshott was the only singles winner for the Devonport hosts as he hit a 17 darter in his 3-0 win.

Tradesmans now hold a fourteen point lead at the top thanks to a 10-1 win over Bluebird B that was contributed handsomely by Mike O'Brien's thirteen three figure scores.

O'Brien (30.06) ripped through his 3-0 singles win in just fifty darts with legs of 17,17,16 and one of his mammoth ton plus total coming from a 100 finish earlier in the night.

Teammate John Mann also matched O'Brien's ton total with thirteen of his own and won legs in 16 and 15 in his 3-0 win.

Andy Bates hit a 16 darter of his own on a dominant night that saw him join teammates Fred Goldsmith and Alec Turner in producing maximums for the league leaders.

Kieran Burns notched a brace of maximums on his way to thirteen tons as second placed Octagon A made light work of a talented Victory A team; winning the tie 8-3.

Burns added to that haul with a brace of 18 darters in his 3-2 singles win over Richard Wheatley who himself bagged a 180 on his way to ten tons.

Wheatley's teammate Tony Tasker hit a maximum in his singles with opponent Paul Palmer also striking in a 3-1 win for the latter.

Jayden Dodd rounded off the 180 hitting in his 3-1 singles win, which was one of ten three figure scores he chalked up personally.

Two of Lee Hellings (28.90) ten tons were finishes of 120 and 116 in his 3-0 singles triumph that saw him finish with legs of 15 and 18.

Stand in for the night Neil White hit a brace of 16 darters whilst the evergreen Alfie Ford also notched double figures in ton plusses.

Whilst the recovery from 3-2 down before the singles phase keeps the Stonehouse team in touching distance with their title rivals, the Tradesmans have the league firmly in their own hands now.

Danny Bull's thirteen ton plusses couldn't stop his Indian A team from falling to a 7-4 defeat at the Union Inn with one of those tons being a 110 checkout that was beaten by Nick Furneaux's 127 kill for victors.

Dave Hollows contributed eleven tons to the victory but still ended up on the wrong end of a 3-0 defeat to favourite for the individual title, Harry Bull, who hit a 17 dart leg.

Bull's teammate Pete Cornish was the only 180 hitter for both teams as the Stoke Village team were left licking their wounds following the defeat.

Callum Strickson produced finishes of 101 and 104 as the Bluebird C team claimed local bragging rights in their match with the Bluebird A.

Glenn Halford was his prominent best with ten tons whilst teammate Lee Roberts showed his class with a leg in 17 darts.

Alan Masters produced the only moment of magic for the A team with a maximum in one of only two singles they picked up in the contest.

Bottom side Firkin Scholar claimed a rare win in a 6-5 victory over Indian B that had them as many as 6-2 up before a late rally by the hosts.

Despite the result, the home side produced the only noteworthy moments as Matt Nicholson chalked up an 85 finish and Gary Clarke hit the only maximum of the matchup.
