Stevenson's Rocket Fuels Legends Win

Simon Stevenson (26.84) chalked up a 16 darter in a Plymouth City Super League Division A 3-0 singles success that contributed to a 7-4 win for Legends Lounge B at Raffles B.

Stevenson ended his night on fourteen scores of a ton or more, whilst helping himself to a 108 checkout and one of the four maximums overall.

The best finishing combination of the contest overall, however, went to Paul Hoare for the home team as he fired 126 at the first time of asking.

Stevenson's teammate Scott Hutchinson notched two 180s during a 3-2 victory, which gave him the platform to reach thirteen three figure visits.

The man on the receiving end of Hutchinson's narrow victory was Leighton Wilson, who checked a leg in 18 darts in that defeat.

Shaun Dring tallied up ten ton plusses, whilst Ryan Fuller was the most prolific for the hosts as he added a 180 to his fourteen tons.

Fuller's teammate Harry Bull added eleven ton plusses overall, and he checked legs in 17 and 18 darts on his way to a 3-1 singles success.

Nick Bryant (25.05) lit up Falstaff B's 6-5 defeat against Bluebird with a 3-0 singles success that contained a 17 darter.

Top scorer for the victors was Glenn Austin, who nailed eleven three figure visits, whilst Bryant's teammate Phil Hoyle repeated that feat for the defeated party.

Hoyle's total ticked over to that mark with one of the three 180s as Dave Lee managed a brace for the home side.

After Bryant's heroics, Carter put away 100 in a single visit during a 3-1 defeat before Lee was a 3-0 winner, with his best leg coming in 14 darts.

That left the scoreline locked at 5-5, and it was Dale Halford who won the last leg shootout with a 3-2 success that included a 70 checkout.

Jack McMinn put together seventeen scores of a ton or more, which helped league leaders Raffles Diamonds to an 8-3 success at Legends Lounge A.

Andy Bates provided decent cover fire with eleven tons, whilst Alfie Ford ended his night on ten three figure visits.

Top scoring for the home team was Reece Mealin, who bagged one of the four maximums on his way to thirteen tons.

The other 180 hitters in the match included McMinn, Bates and Mealin's teammate Kobi Hayman to make it four overall.

McMinn's effort came in a trebles win that came in 35 darts as he teamed with Bates and Neil White for a 28.60 single dart average.

Bates opened the singles with a 3-1 win that saw him tick one leg off with a 96 checkout and another in just 18 darts against Hayman, who fired a 90 kill in the solitary leg he won.

McMinn got the better of Mealin 3-2 thanks to what turned out to be a critical 17 dart blow against the youngster, who showed his budding class with a leg in 18.

AJ Brunton ended his stint at the oche with fourteen ton plusses, but still found himself on the wrong side of an 8-3 defeat as Duchy A were downed by Fawn A.

The icing on top of Brunton's total came in the form of two of the six 180s in the match, and a 105 single visit combination outshot.

That aforementioned finish, and a 15 dart leg, came in a 3-2 defeat to Reg Matthews, who added one of his team's maximums on his way to thirteen tons.

Matthews' teammates Dave Roberts, Mark Hempsall and Mike Nancholas all added solitary maximums, the latter of which ticked Nancholas' ton total over to the ten mark.

Both Nick Miller and George Beckett were thirteen ton hitters, but still found themselves on the wrong side of a 6-5 loss as Steampacket were downed by Kings Arms B.

Martyn Down and Steve Mills both reached eleven scores of a ton or more for the victors, whilst Karl Rogers won the game in the final singles 3-1, and completed a ten ton total.

Rogers survived a 115 outshot from opponent Marc Webber, which was the only effort to better Down's 112 combination that came in a 3-2 defeat to Miller, who put away one leg in 15 darts.

The trio of Mills, Rogers and Chrissie Kinnaird (28.60) teamed up well to secure 1001 points in 35 darts, whilst the only three treble visit went the way of Mike Connell.

Thirteen tons rained down from the arm of Tony Tasker, which contributed heavily to a 7-4 victory for Falstaff A versus Ship's Tavern.

Tasker's Scott Cook managed as many as four 180s on his way to a ten ton haul that was matched by Scott Lawrey.

Quinton Taylor netted a fifth maximum for the victors, whilst Cameron O'Brien put up his team's only three treble visit on his way to a twelve ton tally.

Nathan Langdon's 132 outshot came in a 3-1 success, and was the only effort to better a 73 by Lawrey, whilst Cook bagged a 14 dart leg on his way to a 3-0 triumph.

Craig Hillary top scored for Raffles A with an eleven ton haul that led the away side to a comfortable 10-1 win at Compton Social.

Playing their supporting role well were Lewis Dare and Tyler Borthwick, who both fired ten scores of a ton or more.

Logan Carroll was a 3-0 winner thanks in part to the only 180 of the match, whilst Jon Parsons bagged a 110 outshot for the defeated party in a 3-2 turnaround versus Hillary.

Dare also showed his class at the business end of legs with a fine 14 darter aiding his route to another 3-0 victory.

Archie Borlase's eleven ton total helped keep the scoreline ticking in the way of Firkin Scholar as his team claimed a 7-4 win over Tradesmans.

Both Rhys Castle and Scott Heggie were also in good scoring form as the pair reached ten ton plusses for their night's work.

All of the maximums in the contest went the way of the hosts as Heggie's solitary effort was added to with a brace from Stephen Ebsworth.

Simon Washington was the main aggressor for the defeated team as he racked up as many as eleven three figure visits.

Borlase and Heggie put together a 23 darter over the 601 distance in a 2-0 doubles win that was bettered by Castle and Ebsworth with a 22 dart leg in a 2-1 victory.

Washington and Jodie Hawton then returned the fire with a 20 dart leg that proved crucial in deciding a 2-1 success.

Washington continued his form into the first singles with a 3-0 win that contained a leg in 18 darts before Ebsworth repeated that feat with an 18 darter of his own that came in another 3-0 triumph.

Ford Inn's 10-1 win at Ker St A was built upon Dan Brazier's ten scores of a ton or more, with Mike Whatley adding to a 180 from Brazier with one of his own.

Both Brazier and Whatley contributed to the highlights at the business end as Whatley bagged a 14 darter in his 3-0 win, whilst Brazier's 3-0 victory contained an 83 checkout.
