Stout Out Wins Epic Encounter

Starlet Frankie Stout produced some magical darts to topple Legends Lounge Premier League 1 leader Sean Taylor 7-6.

Stout's 121 checkout proved crucial and that effort was joined two maximums in the win whilst the six points for Taylor leaves him clinging onto top of the standings by two legs.

Lewis Dare is the closest man to Taylor after his fine 7-2 triumph over Ben Waters that contained checkouts of 112 and 108 to thwart Waters who himself added a maximum.

Dave Hollow couldn't keep the pressure up on Dare and Taylor after his 7-4 defeat to Chris Edgecombe leaves him three behind Dare, which came in spite of Hollow's 110 three dart combination out shot.

Dave Ryde moved up one place after his 7-5 win over Dave Webb which came with the help of a maximum to leave Ryde in sixteenth just three points from eighteenth and last placed Webb.

Sean Burkitt is still well placed to pounce on any mistakes from the leading group in sixth despite a 7-5 loss to Del Bryce because Burkitt followed that disappointment with a 7-4 win against Edgecombe.

Burkitt added a maximum in his second outing of the evening whilst Tom Graham was also a 180 hitter in a 7-5 defeat against Hollow.

Bryce couldn't continue his fortunes in a second matchup of the evening as his 130 checkout and maximum wasn't enough to stop his slide to defeat.

The man that bested Bryce was Lewis Bryne who nailed a 103 checkout during his victory to see him into fifth spot in the standings with the blanket that can be thrown across the top six just nine points.

In amongst that title fight is Neil White who is fourth after his 180 helped him to a 7-1 success over Warren Page.

Dave Barton put daylight between himself and the bottom four with wins of 7-2 and 7-3 against Ryde and James Ewing.

Robbie Aitken continued his brilliant recent form to leapfrog Steve Mills after a 7-4 win over his mid table rival into eighth position in Premier League 2.

Aitken fired a 133 checkout that wasn't bettered by any competitor on the night, whilst Mills heard '180' called after throwing once during the defeat before Aitken won 7-2 versus Kelly Burkitt, who climbs off the bottom.

Two wins for Darren Smith helped him to a season high of sixth place after successes of 7-3 against Damian Chalmers and a 7-4 versus Mills.

Both Smith and Mills plundered 180s in that match but it was Smith who came out on top with one of the septet of legs won with a 116 out shot.

Simon Wilbraham and opponent Nick Miller both added maximums in a 7-1 win for the latter whilst Nathan Langdon produced a routine 7-2 win over Adam Hill who returned later in the evening to fall to Dan Giles 7-1.

Hill made it an unfortunate hat-trick of defeats in a 7-4 loss to Dan Jewell who is second in the standings after that result coupled with a 7-5 loss for Liam Taylor against Mark Williams.

Williams triumph kept him within one point of Jewell, but one place higher in third whilst Taylor drops from second to fifth due to Jayden Dodd's 7-3 win over Chalmers.
