Tradesmans Floating On Air Jordan's Performance

Jordan Grimshaw (30.67) was a 3-0 winner in magnificent fashion during a 7-4 Steve Chapman 501 League for Tradesmans over Beacon Park.

Grimshaw put away 16 and 13 darters in that feat and walked away with thirteen ton plusses overall whilst Grimshaw also performed well in the doubles phase with Keanan Grimshaw (26.13) for a 2-0 win.

Lewis Byrne was influential in the win with eleven tons whilst Steven Smout finished on ten three figure scores for the defeated team and teammate Beau Carter was a 3-2 winner thanks to a 14 dart leg and a 96 checkout.

Mike Pearce heard scores of a ton or more called no fewer than thirteen times to lead St Levans to an 11-0 win away at Duchy.

In the 180 stakes, 'here come the girls' was the call as Hayley Brant and Anna Pearce, who recently won an open competition at the Cherry Tree, both added maximums.

Jordan Heath was a ten ton hitter for the defeated home side whilst teammate Rob Wills was narrowly edged out by Anna Pearce despite hitting a 16 darter.

Leaders Cherry Tree B scored an impressive 8-3 win over the talented Victory A but still had their gap at the top cut to a solitary point.

Mike Whatley's was the most impressive competitor on display with his thirteen ton haul accented by a 158 checkout that was the best of the week and season so far.

Whatley's teammate Mark Shears found ton plus scores with regularity to complete a twelve ton plus personal tally.

Scott Wapshott showed moments of brilliance with two maximums and a 13 darter coming in a 3-1 individual win.

That leg better a 15 dart leg for Shears in his 3-1 win and a leg in 15 by Whatley who defeated Kelvin Rowe 3-2 in spite of some fine form by his adversary.

Rowe's 121 checkout in that epic battle ticked his ton tally over to the twelve mark whilst teammate Scott Lawrey netted the defeated visitors' only maximum.

Bluebird continued their strong progress in their first season at this level with a ninth win in fifteen starts in a 7-4 win over Mark Hatherley's Indian Inn.

Hatherley provided most of the magical moments in the matchup a twelve ton haul including his team's only maximum.

Jack McMinn shone for the successive home side with a 180 on his way to ten tons whilst McMinn's teammate Keith Lemon's 17 darter in a 3-1 win was bang tidy.

Cherry Tree C claimed an 8-3 win over Kings Arms thanks to thanks in part to Lee Hellings top scoring with twelve ton plusses.

Dave Lee was also a catalyst in deciding the direction of the points as he heard scores of a ton or more called no fewer than ten times.

The hosts flew out of the blocks as Hellings, Steve Mills and James Hughes (30.81) put together a leg of 801 trebles in just 26 darts.

Hughes came back in the pairs and put away 601 in just 16 darts in a 2-0 win when combining with Nick Miller who added his team's only maximum in that matchup.

Miller added a second 16 dart leg, this time over the 501 distance in a 3-2 individual loss to Paul Palmer who checked a crucial 104 in a single visit during one of a trio of successes for this team.

Palmer and teammate Dave Johns both finished their evening's on ten tons whilst the other 180s in that match were fired by the defeated away side as Mark Yeoman and teammate Alec Turner both struck.

Yeoman also helped himself to what turned out to be contest winning 16 dart leg in his 3-2 individual success that was one of six tied to be decided by a solitary leg in the eleven game matchup.

Alfie Ford led the scoring for Octagon with twelve tons, but that couldn't arrest the Stonehouse outfit's slide to a 7-4 defeat at Fawn A.

Mike Bassett's 15 darter and 120 checkout led him to a 3-0 win in the individual phase, which was one of five netted by the victorious Greenbank team.

Lee Rodmell might've added eleven tons, but he still found himself on the wrong end of an 8-3 defeat as Bar Mez were downed by Cherry Tree D.

Kevin Lofthouse provided the moments of magic for the defeated team with a maximum to go alongside a modest high checkout of 64.

Reigning champions, Fawn B, have played their way back into the title race in recent weeks and now sit one point behind the leaders after their 11-0 win at Ivybridge CC.

Andy Bates did most of the running for the away side with an eleven ton haul that contained the only maximum of the match.

Bates was well supported by teammates Simon Washington, Lee Agar and John Mann who all finished the match on ten tons.

Agar's three dart combination of 130 was the best checkout of the match whilst Mann was a 3-0 winner with his best leg of 501 coming in 15.

Washington also impressed in the individual phase of play with a 17 darter in one of five 3-0 wins in a game that saw the title contenders only drop one of the twenty-seven legs played.

Will Broome's 97 checkout and 15 dart leg came in a Cherry Tree A 11-0 win at Victory Hammers; for whom Kieran Harris put up the only maximum.
