Chalkie sets new mark for season's highest checkout

NEIL "Chalkie" White earned the plaudits in the Plymouth City Super League when, in the first fixture of the New Year, he set a mark for the season’s top checkout when finishing a 15-dart leg with a kill of 160.
He went on to clinch his singles by a 3-0 margin, inspiring Maritime A to a 7-4 victory away at The Tradesman.
Despite the win, Maritime A now drop down to second spot after Porters won 11-0 to take the top spot for themselves.

Scott Wapshott impressed for the table-toppers when winning 3-0, which included a leg in just 12 darts.
Plympton Cons B won in double figures when they restricted St Levan to a single point, the same winning scoreline that was also achieved by Maritime B when hosting The Albemarle.
The fixture produced five maximums, two each for Adam Truscott and Shaun Dring and Phil Hoyle also caught the eye for the winners when top-scoring with 14 throws of a ton or more,10 of which came in a 3-1 singles success.
The Bluebird defeated Compton Social Club 7-4 and had Glenn Halford as their leading marksman with 11 ton plus scores which included a brace of 180s.
The Fawn returned from Maritime C with a 7-4 success while Plympton Cons A and Octagon Social Club were also victorious when both winning 9-2 against Cherry Tree and Ker St Social Club respectively.
Ships Tavern inflicted a 9-2 defeat on Victoria and had Dave Johns hitting two maximums in a 3-0 singles success.
Mike Sant registered a checkout of 129 but finished up on the wrong end of a 9-2 scoreline when Kings Arms were defeated away at The Staddy.
Other prominent checkouts were also achieved by: Glenn Halford (118), Mike Bingham (113), Steve Packer (109), Lewis Dare (105), Phil Hoyle (104).
