Five teams win in double figures including the leaders

NO fewer than five teams won in double figures and not surprisingly the Porters Function Room 501 Top 20 League leaders, were amongst them.

Porters Patriots secured maximum points when hosting The Melbourne and in doing so, recorded 62 scores of a ton or more.

John Mann (100x15) won 3-2 in 13, 18 and 14, clinching the 18-dart leg with a kill of 101 but was pushed the full distance by a gallant Dan Sheikh.

Antony Hayman (30.06) was also prominent and emerged a 3-0 winner in 14, 15 and 21.

Victory Inn A were another side to plunder all 11 points when they hosted Maritime Nutters and had Neil White emerging a 3-0 winner with his best legs being won in 16 and 18.

Octagon Social Club secured all but one of the points on offer against Fawn A and were inspired by a rejuvenated Ralph Lancaster who emerged a 3-1 singles winner, with two of the legs coming in 16 and 20 and the other being claimed with an outshot of 137.

The Office defeated Compton Social Club 7-4 and had Andy Waters giving a good account of himself.

The marksman hit two maximums in a 3-0 singles success, taking one of the legs in 15 when checking out at the first time of asking from 112.

Two scores of 180 from Danny Allen was the highlight of Maritime Governors 9-2 victory over Indian Inn A while Falstaff won on the road and defeated Indian Inn B 10-1.

Kings Arms whitewashed Victory Inn B 11-0 and had Dave Collins (26.37) emerging a 3-0 singles winner in 21, 21 and 15 while Porters Pretenders won 8-3 away at Cherry Tree.

Mark Shears (100x13) (pictured) was prominent for the winners and clinched his singles by a 3-1 margin, which included a 15-dart leg which he killed with the week’s top checkout of 149.

Maritime Musketeers edged out Brewery Tap 6-5, in a high scoring fixture that produced seven maximum throws, including a brace of 180s for Tap’s Jordan Grimshaw who hit a 13-darter in a 3-1 singles victory.

Maritime Marauders won 9-2 away at Fawn B and put 49 scores of a ton or more on the board which included checkouts of 126 and 104, executed by Phil Hoyle and Shaun Dring respectively.

Fred Goldsmith was Fawn’s lone winner in the singles and top scored with 14 ton plus throws.
