Victory B upset the form book and defeat stable-mates

VICTORY Inn B began their latest Monday Premier League fixture 46 points behind their illustrious opponents but battled well for their success and deservedly won the bragging rights against stable-mates Victory A.

The B side won the early exchanges to lead 4-1 and then shared the six singles with Ryan Harris, Phil Hoskin (pictured) and Chris Beale all delivering for the side to prevail 7-4.

Steam Packet won 10-1 away at Firkin Scholar in a match that saw six maximums recorded, including two each for Frankie Stout and Dave Matthews who Stout (100x14) defeated 3-2 to earn Scholar’s only point.

Neil White (27.33) was prominent in the individual phases and emerged a 3-0 winner in 18, 20 and 17 while also catching the eye was Luke Johnson (25.47).

Matt Abbott (100x12) top scored for Porters A in their 8-3 success away at Plympton Cons while Octagon B and Octagon A both won 7-4 against Bluebird B and Bluebird C respectively.

The Tradesman received good service from John Mann (100x16) and Mike O’Brien (100x14) before coming out on top away at Bluebird D by a 10-1 margin while Maritime won 9-2 at Porters B.

Brewery Tap were in a rich vein of form and took all the points that were on offer against Indian Inn B.

Scott Cook took a leg in 14 darts before winning 3-1 while team-mate John Carr recorded the week’s highest checkout of 130.

Other notable outshots were achieved by: Paul Gavican (122), Sam Frampton (116), Nigel Bassett (110), Mark Hopkins (105), Mike Willcocks (103), Neil White (100).
