Tap march on and still unbeaten after 22 matches

BREWERY Tap were good value for their 8-3 victory away at The Fawn as they won their 22nd consecutive match of the campaign.

The outstanding singles encounter saw Simon Stevenson (100x19) win two legs in 18 only to be edged out 3-2 by Andy Bates, aided by a leg in 14 with both players notching two 180s.

Paul Palmer was on target with a finish of 104 but was beaten to the week’s best by Dave Matthews (pictured).

His mark of 120 came in Octagon’s 9-2 success away at Bluebird Bandits and they also had Alfie Ford winning 3-1 in 18, 21 and 21.

An outshot of 117 from Rich Wheatley was the highlight of Victory A’s 10-1 win away at St Levan while despite leading 4-2, Victory B needed Quinton Taylor to get them over the line when winning the sixth point.

The Staddy edged out Bluebird A 6-5, the highlight being a 34-dart trebles success for Marc Cresswell, Tony Gordon and Dave Algar (29.44).

Roger Bailey recorded a 15-darter in a 3-1 victory to put Ker St A 5-2 up against Victoria and despite the visitors pulling it back to 5-5, Ian Heggie edged out Phil Walsh 3-2 to give the Devonport side their victory.

Kings Tamerton CC made the long trip to Oreston but were rewarded with a 10-1 victory against Kings Arms A while Neal Hotchkiss (100x15) top scored for Steam Packet in their 7-4 success away at Hyde Park.

Jon Parsons (Bluebird Bandits) and James Duke (Hyde Park), were both on target with a brace of 180s each while Ker St B, Plympton Cons A and Plympton Cons B, all won 6-5.
