Anthony Pearn's His Stripes

Five maximums between the King Billy and Brewery Tap was one of a number of excellent moments in an 8-5 win for the latter in the Plymouth & District Friday Darts League.

Anthony Pearn, Matt Abbott and Andrew Nation all struck for the defeated team whilst Sean Taylor and Del Bryce added an effort each for the successful away side.

Pearn also finished in one visit from 142; the highest checkout of the week on his way to ten ton plusses for the evening whilst Nation and Abbott (26.34) paired for a 1001 leg in 38 darts.

Ten tons from both Andrew Waters and Jayden Dodd helped reigning champions Tradesmans A to a 13-0 success over Ker St A.

Waters helped his impressive tally along with a 107 checkout whilst Matt Kingdon added a moment of magic with the game's only maximum.

Richard Wheatley (25.67) was also impressive during the match with a 1001 singles game in just 39 darts for the lowest of this particular contest.

Both Glyn Wells and Shaun Williams reached ten tons plusses during a 12-1 success for leaders Victory over Queens Arms, which also saw Dave Jarvis achieve this particular feat despite ending on the losing team.

Wells' total was added to with a 118 checkout whilst Kieran Burns teamed with Ben Webb (27.05) to produce the week's shortest game; a brilliant 37 dart 1001 leg.

Keith Blight added the only maximum of an impressive 12-1 win for Kings Tamerton over The Lugger whilst Simon Washington once again shone for Octagon in their 9-4 win over Pennycross.

Washington (26.34) won his singles with a 38 darter whilst earlier in the matchup, the Stonehouse marksman had added the game's only maximum.

A 180 from Tony Lamerton was the only noteworthy contribution of an 8-5 win for Tradesmans B against Grenville.

Dean Pidsley added the sole maximum of Queen and Constitution's 10-3 defeat against Indian Inn whilst Mainstone won 9-4 against Ker St B.
