Fred's Men Going For Gold

Fred Goldsmith's tally of thirteen tons wasn't bettered by any player in the Monday Premier League and that performance enabled Tradesmans to net themselves a 10-1 triumph over Cherry Tree B.

Goldsmith's total was topped up by a 100 checkout that was only bettered by Simon Washington's 116 kill, which contributed to eleven tons personally.

John Mann was equally as impressive as Washington with eleven tons of his own whilst Scott Wapshott made it to twelve three figure scores across the contest.

Jaden Whitting and Lee Agar both fired 180s for the champions elect whilst Kev Doel added his team's only three treble visit.

Agar (28.36) walked away with an impressive three dart average from his individual success, which was helped along in no small part by winning legs of 15 and 18 darts in the 3-0 victory.

Mann was another 18 dart hitter in his 3-0 success whilst the best leg of the tie came from the arm of Goldsmith who nailed a leg in 14 in another 3-0 triumph.

Antony Hayman added three maximums to his twelve ton tally in King Billy A's 7-4 success over Bluebird A whilst Andrew Cook was also prominent for the victors.

Cook fired a maximum and a checkout of 116 on his way to ten tons of his own whilst a fifth maximum of the contest was plundered by Stuart Couling of the Compton side.

Hayman (29.47) added legs in 13 and 18 darts during his 3-0 individual triumph whilst Cook (28.36) also won well by the same score line thanks in part to 17 and 15 darters.

Eleven tons from Tony Tasker gave him the top scorer honours for Victory in an 11-0 win over Cherry Tree A that also saw a maximum by the defeated team's Paul Freeman.

Scott Lawrey was the best individual player with a 3-0 success that was won with the help of legs in 17 and 16 darts.

A three dart combination out shot 124 from Al Rowe that was the highest of it's kind in all fixtures joined two maximums by teammate Lee Wyatt in an 8-3 Indian Inn success over Octagon B.

Glenn Austin's eleven ton tally included one of the three maximums in a closely fought match that was eventually won 6-5 by Austin's Bluebird B over King Billy B.

Most of the heavy artillery for the defeated side was provided by Scott Cook who added a maximum to his ten ton haul.

Cook's 18 dart leg helped him to a 3-1 success over Austin who won his only leg in just 17 darts whilst the best checkouts were from Cook's teammates Mark Sleet and Ant Pearn who finished 120 and 106 respectively.

Callum Strickson fired the third and final maximum in the matchup that made it 5-5 with one to play after the Compton side had trailed 4-2 and 5-3.

Glenn Halford held his nerve in the final singles rubber to give his side the spoils with a 3-1 success to lead the first time since the third tie of the contest.
