Halford Never Dale-s To Amaze

Fourteen tons from Dale Halford in the Monday Premier League wasn't enough to stop the dominant Tradesmans from bettering Halford's Bluebird A by a 10-1 score line.

The main source of the firepower in that success came from the arm of Fred Goldsmith who put thirteen tons onto the scoreboard.

Goldsmith's heavy artillery was joined by twelve tons each from the trio of Simon Washington, Lee Agar and John Mann.

Agar's tally was accented by a 123 checkout that was the best of the match whilst teammate Jaden Whitting added the only maximum in the one sided affair.

Mann, Washington and Goldsmith (33.38) were at it from the first 'game on' call as the trio put away 801 points in just 24 darts.

The world class darts continued throughout the individual phase, starting with Mann who won a leg in 15 darts to claim a 3-1 win.

Goldsmith added an 18 darter in his 3-0 win whilst Agar and Halford saved undoubtedly the best contest of the game until the very last rubber.

Agar's leg in 16 proved to be crucial in defeating Halford 3-2 with one of the duo of legs for the man representing the Compton side coming in just 18 darts.

Harry Bull's twelve ton haul included one of the three maximums in a 6-5 win for Indian Inn over visitors Cherry Tree A.

Bull was joined by Father Danny Bull and Grandad Eddie Bull in achieving a maximum whilst the defeated side's best efforts came from Paul Freeman.

The cherry on top of Freeman's ten ton personal tally came in the form of a 105 checkout, whilst Freeman also won a leg in 16 darts in a 3-1 individual success.

Twelve tons from Scott Cook couldn't arrest King Billy B's slide to a 7-4 defeat at the hands of Victory who themselves had two players with their scoring boots on.

Scott Lawrey and Alex Roach both added ten tons each with the former topping his total up with one of the three maximums in the match.

Lawrey's teammate Tony Tasker added a second for the Honicknowle outfit whilst Cook was the only member of his team to hear '180' called after throwing.

Cook (26.39) also made headlines in the individual phase with a 3-0 win that contained legs in 17 and 18 darts to join a 17 darter in a 3-1 defeat for Quinton Taylor and a leg in 18 from Lawrey in his 3-1 success.

Andrew Cook lit up a King Billy A 7-4 away defeat at Octagon A with three maximums on his way to a thirteen ton personal tally.

A twelve ton haul from Kevin Lofthouse included two of the five ton plus checkouts, but Lofthouse's checkouts of 116 and 118 were second and third best in the match to Lee Hellings' 154 single visit kill.

Jayden Dodd top scored for the victors with eleven tons and checked two ton plus finishes of his own as Dodd nailed 100 and 111 at the first time of asking.

Alfie Ford also showed his undoubted and unwavering class with ten tons that helped steer his side to the win whilst teammate Paul Palmer fired his team's only maximum.

Hellings and teammate Dodd fired a 601 doubles leg in 19 darts; a feat that was only bettered by Lofthouse and his stablemate Reece Day who checked one of their 601 legs in 18 darts during a 2-1 success.

Cook (26.84) blew his individual opponent away with a brace of 18 darters in a 3-0 win before teammate Alec Turner was on the end of a 3-1 reversal despite winning one leg in 16.

Palmer got the better of an inspired Lofthouse 3-1 with a 15 darter the best for the former on the way to the win that keeps the Stonehouse side comfortably third.

Marc Webber's eleven tons fired Cherry Tree B to a 7-4 win over Octagon B with the highest checkout of the match coming from George Beckett's 92 kill.

Ten tons from a single player each team contributed to a tight affair between Bluebird B and Colebrook that finished 7-4 to the former.

Glenn Halford's dectet for the victors was joined by a ten ton haul from Zak Smith whilst Halford's teammate Lee Roberts took out 75 in single visit to claim the highest checkout of the match.
