Hatherley No Flash In The Pan

Mark Hatherley produced a flash of genius to put away seventeen ton plusses during an 8-3 defeat for Indian at home to Bar Mez in the Steve Chapman 501 League.



In a 3-2 singles win, Hatherley claimed a crucial 17 darter and scored one of his team's two maximums; Louis Yates hitting the other.


Lee Agar's sixteen ton haul led the leaders Fawn B to a 10-1 success over Victory D with Jaden Whitting also contributing ten tons to the proceedings.



A 100 finish from Fred Goldsmith wasn't bettered by any competitor on the evening whilst teammate John Mann produced a 17 dart leg in a 3-0 singles win.


Victory C maintained a gap of ten points to the leaders after a 10-1 win over Fawn A that leaves the Honicknowle team comfortably third.



Four of the five 180s on the night were claimed by the victors with Danny Allen's brace added to by Paul Gavican and Jason Pinkerton.


Mike Bassett scored the only effort for the Greenbank side whilst teammate Mark Hempsall threw a 103 checkout that was beaten twice on the night.



Tom James bagged a 121 for the Victory whilst Billy Evans 152 was the highest finish of the week across all fixtures in the league.


A 14 darter from Allen in a 3-1 singles success was the shortest recorded game; beating a 15 darter from Pinkerton in his 3-0 win by a single dart.



Reigning champions have slipped almost completely out of contention for the title this time around after they narrowly beat Octagon 6-5.


Andrew Cook top scored with eleven tons and added an 18 darter in his 3-0 singles success whilst one of two 15 darters came from Scott Cook in another 3-0 win.



Antony Hayman (27.33) checked the other leg in five completed visits to the board in a third 3-0 win for the team and scored the only maximum of the contest.


Scott Wapshott added a 17 darter in a 3-2 singles defeat by earlier combined with Andrew Cook for a 601 leg in just 20 darts that yielded a 30.05 average.



The wily veteran Alfie Ford continues to impress as he checked the highest finish of the match; a single visit 94 combination out shot.


Kings Arms continued their fine recent form as they took all the points on offer against Duchy Of Cornwall for an 11-0 win.



Paul Hendy bagged thirteen three figure scores whilst Simon Washington was also prominent with eleven ton plusses overall.


Dave Johns 3-0 singles win was accented by legs of 18 and 17 darts whilst Warren Gordon added a 17 darter of his own in another 3-0 triumph.



Dave Algar produced the only maximum of the match whilst Paul Palmer's 90 checkout was the best produced by both teams.


A leg in 16 and a 180 for Devon pair Anna Johnson and Mike Pearce respectively contributed to a 7-4 win for St Levans over Victory Hammers.
