Haymanator Haymanates Indian

Antony Hayman added sixteen three figure scores to the dartboard in an 8-3 Steve Chapman 501 League win for King Billy at home against Indian Inn that keeps them well within the title chasing pack.

Hayman (31.31) won well in the individual phase with legs in 14, 16 and 18 darts contributed to his 3-0 personal triumph.

Hayman's teammate Reece Day added the only maximum of the match whilst Ian Heggie's notable checkout of 98 was the best of all twenty-nine game shot calls.

Lee Hellings mammoth tally of fifteen ton plusses fired second placed Cherry Tree C to a 7-4 win over a talented Victory A team.

Despite ending on the wrong side of the defeat, Victory still had moments of brilliance with Scott Lawrey at the forefront when nailing a 14 darter in his 3-01 singles win.

Lawrey also joined teammate Paul Goundry as the only two maximum hitters in the affair whilst Tony Tasker's 120 checkout was the best of the affair.

Reigning champions Fawn B are continuing to reignite their title credentials with a solid 11-0 success over Victory Fireballs that contained thirteen tons for John Mann.

Mann's 148 three dart combination outshot was the best checkout of four ton plus finishes in the match as teammate Simon Washington added a 108 kill.

Next best was a 106 by Phil Ingram for the defeated side whilst Lee Agar made it 3-1 to the visitors in high checkouts with a fine 101.

Ingram's aforementioned checkout came in an 18 darter during a 3-1 singles loss whilst Andy Bates put in a notable performance in the second individual game.

Bates added the game's only maximum to legs of 18 and 17 darts before Agar's checkout contributed to his 3-0 triumph.

Mann set the oche alight with the best leg of 501 in 16 darts and followed this with one in 17 for another 3-0 triumph.

Washington's checkout was joined by an 18 darter in his 3-1 win whilst Jaden Whitting rounded off an emphatic display with legs in 17 and 18 darts in another 3-0 win.

St Levans had Mike Pearce to largely thank for their 6-5 win over Cherry Tree A as Pearce put twelve tons onto the scoreboard overall.

After going 3-2 down at the conclusion of the team games, the visitors from Pennycross rallied to make it 3-3 despite Anna Pearce's 18 darter in a 3-1 defeat.

Luke Beard then gave his team the lead with a 154 checkout his best in a 3-0 win; an effort that also took a share of the best checkout of the week and year to date.

After Dan Brazier's 3-1 win over Harry MacGregor that contained the second 18 darter of the match, as well as a 110 checkout, it looked like the win would go to the visitors at 5-3 up with three to play.

Matt Pearce steadied the Keyham side's ship with a leg in 18 during his 3-2 triumph before Mike Pearce checked in 17 and 18 darts in a 3-1 win that left Tex Pearce to run out a 3-0 winner to give his team the spoils.

A twelve ton haul by Jordan Grimshaw in a 6-5 win for Trademans at Bluebird was accented by the joint highest checkout of the week and season so far.

Grimshaw's 154 three darter claimed that honour whilst teammate Lewis Byrne was also prominent for the visitors with twelve tons of his own.

Byrne was a 3-1 winner in the singles phase with an 18 darter his best whilst Jack McMinn bettered that for the defeated side with a leg in 17 in another 3-1 success.

McMinn finished his evening on eleven tons overall but it was Grimshaw that had the last laugh as he won out 3-0 in the final singles rubber with the scores tied at 5-5 going into the sixth singles matchup.

Chris Edgecombe put scores of a ton or more onto the scoreboard no fewer than twelve times for Octagon as they downed Kings Arms 8-3.

Edgecombe's teammate Robbie Bisgrove put two of the three maximums onto the scoreboard with Paul Palmer adding the Oreston side's only three treble visit.

Palmer also nailed the best checkout of the match with a 110 after earlier pairing with Chrissie Kinnaird in a 601 doubles game put away in just 20 darts.

Over the 501 distance Edgecombe's 15 dart leg was the best of the match in what turned out to be a crucial success during his 3-2 triumph.

Ten tons by Mike Whatley led the top team in the division, Cherry Tree B to an 11-0 success over the Ivybridge CC to stretch out a ten point lead in the early table.

Other highlights from Whatley's men came from teammates Paul Gavican and Jason Pinkerton who added a maximum and a 104 checkout to Whatley's heroics.

Tom Full was a ten ton hitter for Bar Mez in a 9-2 success when visiting Victory Hammers; a tally that contained a 109 three dart combination outshot for Full.

That effort bettered a 96 by Simon White whilst Paul Tackle's 17 darter in his 3-2 win was matched by Cleo Trelease.

Trelease's leg in 17 also proved to be crucial in a 3-2 win for the defeated; an effort that was also accompanied by the game's only maximum.

A close encounter between Fawn A and Cherry Tree D ended in a 6-5 win in which Mike Bassett performed admirably with the victor's only maximum and a 17 dart leg in a 3-1 individual success over Chris Harper.

Harper nailed 90 in one visit to pick up his only leg in that tie that came after himself and Martin Pearson knitted well in the doubles with a 601 leg in 17 darts, which contained a 180 for Pearson.

An 18 dart leg by Rob Wills couldn't arrest Duchy's slide to an 8-3 score line reversal at the hands of Beacon Park.
