Andrew Cook was the winner of the Monday Premier League annual Charlie Mitchell Memorial competition held at the Indian Inn.

Cook opened and finished the tournament, winning the first game 3-1 before fellow finalist Zak Smith secured a 3-1 win in his first outing.

Dave Wyatt notched the first maximum of the night, but still found himself succumbing to James Farrell by a 3-1 scoreline.

Cook's King Billy teammate Paul Goundry secured a 101 finish to take the scalp of Simon Washington with a 3-0 victory, whilst Harry Bull secured a 17 darter in his 3-0 success.

Cook was pushed in the last 8 tie, coming through 3-2, with Bull joining Cook in the semis by securing a triumph by a 3-1 scoreline.

Farrell saw another 180 fly in from an opponent as Smith put together a three treble visit during a 3-0 victory to claim his place amongst the elite four.

Goundry (25.05) again showed his class with his best leg coming in 17 darts during a 3-0 win that completed the quarter final stage.

Bull opened his semi final contest against Cook with a 15 darter that ended with a 116 finish before Cook punched back in style with a leg in 18.

Cook made it 2-1 with the help of a maximum and a 15 darter before pouncing on some sloppy play at the business end from Bull to secure a place in the final.

Goundry continued his good form with a 113 checkout and an 18 darter, but was beaten in a final leg decider by Smith 3-2, with the victor's best efforts coming in the form of a 14 dart third leg.

Smith opened the final with a 16 darter that included a 180 before the players traded blows to make it 2-2 going into a last leg shootout for the trophy.

Cook showed his undoubted class by stepping on the accelerator pedal, producing a 15 dart leg that ended with a 112 checkout to take the title.
