If Anyone Can, Gavi-Can
Paul Gavican traded an equal share of six maximums with Lee Hellings before bettering his opponent 7-6 in their Legends Lounge Premier League 2 clash.
Gavican made it four 180s for the evening in his second outing of the evening which ended in a role reversal having lost out 7-6 to Jason Pinkerton.
Pinkerton got a second win with a maximum in his 7-3 success over Frankie Stout and made it a hat-trick for the night with a 7-0 success over Nick Cordrey.
Cordrey faired better in his second game but was still downed by Sean Burkitt 7-6 whilst Andrew Cook added a brace of 180s to Liam Taylor's one in a 7-0 win.
Scott Lawrey tops the tight standings after a 7-3 triumph over Darren Smith; the top six now separated by just ten points.
In Premier League 1, Dan Brazier fired the highest checkout of the evening with a 126 in a 7-1 victory over Matt Kingdom.
That win also yielded one of two maximums on the night for Brazier, the other coming in a 7-5 triumph over fellow title chaser, Kieran Burns.
Brazier couldn't make it a trio of wins on the night as Chris Edgcumbe found a maximum and a checkout of 106 in a 7-3 win over the lead player in the division.
Edgcumbe also added wins of 7-4 and 7-6 over Robbie Aitken and Lee Hunter respectively before rounding his night off with a 7-1 defeat to Danny Bull.
Bull was also a 7-4 winner over Hunter with a 180 helping that seven leg total along whilst Aitken and Hunter both added maximums in their other outings during the proceedings.
Aitken and opponent Scott Wapshott heard '180' called after throwing in a 7-2 win for the latter whilst Hunter overcame Kingdom 7-3, thanks in part to his three treble visit.
Paul Hendy was another who ended his night with a maximum in a loss after a 7-5 defeat to Paul Palmer whilst Burns made up for his disappointment against Brazier with a 7-3 success over James Ewing.
Burns and Palmer sit twelve behind Brazier, but have games in hand whilst Neil White is probably Brazier's main rival despite being twenty-three points back in sixth because he has twenty-eight more for which to play.
