Jewell Is Dan Of Steel At Business End

Dan Jewell's 148 checkout in Legends Lounge Premier League 2 provided the best checkout in both divisions but still couldn't stop him from succumbing to a 7-5 loss to Dan Giles.



Giles made it two wins from two outings with an accomplished 7-1 success over the in form Liam Taylor who remains second despite this heavy defeat.


Jewell faired better in his other outing of the night with a 115 finish giving him one of a septet of legs won during a 7-2 triumph over Mark Williams.



Williams added a 106 checkout in a 7-2 triumph over Damian Chalmers who added a 116 kill in one of the duo of legs he took.


Chalmers did manage a 180 in his other matchup but still found himself on the wrong end of a heavy loss as Chalmers was downed by Robbie Aitken.



Two wins from two games went the way of Aitken as he defeated Darren Smith in spite of Smith's 180 and 100 checkout in that game.


Jayden Dodd was a 7-2 winner over Simon Wilbraham whilst Nick Miller hit the first of his two 180s on the night in a 7-4 win over Sarah Brown.



Brown picked herself up to claim a 7-2 win over Nick Cordrey in her other rubber of the game week to end the day in fifth.


Miller returned to the board to put another 180 and a 102 checkout up against Andrew Cook who dispatched Miller 7-3 thanks in part to a 180 of his own to continue as the only man in this section to remain unbeaten.



In Premier League 1, Frankie Stout checked 121 in a single visit to ignite his 7-1 triumph over Dave Webb whilst Lewis Byrne added a 114 kill to his 7-2 win over Dave Barton who netted himself a 180 in that loss.


Barton was defeated in his second outing 7-2 whilst Tom Graham halted Richie Noel's recent progress by the same score line.



Ben Waters put up a 180 in a 7-5 success over Chris Edgecombe whilst Dave Hollow was a 7-1 winner over Dave Ryde.


In Edgecombe's other matchup, he fell short against Warren Page when narrowly missing out by a 7-6 score line.



Reece Day added a 180 to his night's work in a 7-2 success over James Ewing whilst Sean Taylor knocked Neil White off the top by inflicting his first defeated of the season in empathic fashion with a 7-2 rout.


Day was also a 7-6 winner against Burkitt in spite of Burkitt putting a maximum onto the result sheet during this particular match.
