Mann's Clan Start Strong
Fawn B started their new campaign in the Steve Chapman 501 League with a 7-4 victory at Kings Arms; a win that was dominated by eighteen tons from John Mann.
Mann (31.98) ripped through his 3-0 singles win with legs of 12 and 14 darts that featured a 121 checkout; an effort which pipped teammate Neil White's 120 finish by one solitary point.
Those efforts however were overshadowed by a 130 from Jodie Hawton who took the highest checkout prize for the week for her team.
Jaden Whitting added his team's only maximum on his way to ten tons whilst there was an 18 darter from White and a leg in 16 from Dave Matthews as the Greenbank team set out their stall with some impressive darts.
As the score line suggests, this matchup wasn't all one way traffic as the Oreston side had both Warren Gordon and Paul Palmer both reaching ten tons.
Gordon's haul came with the help of a brace of maximums whilst Dave Johns also joined that particularly party with one of his own.
Gordon's 3-1 singles success came with the help of 14 and 17 dart legs, which was one of two individual games the defeated team mustered.
