No Boundary To Goundry's Darting Prowess

Paul Goundry's fifteen ton plusses during Victory B's 11-0 win over Brewery Tap was unbeaten in week nine's round of Monday Premier League fixtures.

Goundry's teammate Paddy Archibald also his usual best with eleven three figure scores whilst Anthony Pearn joined Goundry in the 180 column.

Scott Cook showed his sharp shooting with a brace of 180s with the defeated Stonehouse team's only noteworthy contribution coming from a 115 checkout by Del Bryce.

Leaders Tradesmans now hold a nine point advantage at the top thanks to a 10-1 win over Bluebird B which featured as many as fifteen John Mann ton plusses.

Mann and teammate Mike O'Brien also added the game's only maximums whilst a Shaun Dring 145 checkout in his 3-0 singles win was the highest of the week across all fixtures.

Dring also added eleven more tons to take his individual total to twelve on the night whilst there was a number of low number of darts during a singles phase that saw the Stonehouse team not drop a single leg.

Mann added a brace of 18 darters in his whitewash victory and Dring added a single effort by the same number in his win.

New Cornwall caps, Lee Agar and Jaden Whitting, hit 17 dart legs during their triumphs whilst a 15 darter from O'Brien was the best of the evening.

Indian A dented the title credentials of Octagon A with a 6-5 away success which saw the Stoke Village team hit five 180s.

Both Harry Bull and Alec Turner hit a pair with the latter adding eight more tons to take his evening's total to ten overall.

Danny Bull grabbed the other on his way to eleven ton plusses but as the scoreline suggests, the victors didn't have it all their own way.

Paul Palmer and Jayden Dodd shared the honour of hitting the most ton plusses of the contest with the latter hitting their team's only maximum.

Simon Washington was also prominent with eleven tons whilst Dave Pethick also reached double figures for the Stonehouse side.

Darren Collis added thirteen tons to the scoreboard in a 7-4 for his Victory A team against the King Billy with Tony Tasker also adding ten.

Collis won his singles 3-1 with thanks to an 18 darter that was only bettered by a Richard Wheatley leg in 17 in his 3-0 win.

Wheatley joined teammate Chris Beale in the maximum column whilst the Devonport team had Dave Harbin finishing from 122, which was the losing side's only contribution of a surprisingly quiet night.

Jack McMinn's ten tons made the difference in a slim 6-5 win for the Bluebird A in their visit to Union Inn as teammate Alan Masters adding himself a 15 darter in a 3-0 singles win.

Steve Towl fired the only maximum of the match for the Plympton team in a narrow 3-2 singles loss that proved crucial to the overall result.

Three 180s from Bluebird C made the difference in their 7-4 defeat of Cherry Tree A as James Stoodley ploughed in one and Glenn Austin bagged himself a brace.

Dave Lee's 97 checkout was the only moment of magic in a 7-4 victory for Cherry Tree B over Octagon B who might count themselves a little unlucky having seen eight of the eleven games go to a last leg decider.
