O'Brien On His Mike In Tradesmans Win

Mike O'Brien's (38.50) monster 1001 leg in just 26 darts set what looks like an unbeatable least number of darts figure in just the second week of play in the Louis Yates Plymouth and District League.

O'Brien fired eleven tons in total throughout a 10-3 win for Tradesmans A over Legends Lounge, a total that contained an O'Brien 180.

O'Brien started his superb 1001 leg with a maximum before scores of 60, 100 and 85 were followed by back to back 140s, 95 a 177 and 24 in just two darts.

That effort made O'Brien's stablemate Andy Nation's (28.60) 35 dart leg in the same game pale into insignificance whilst Nation also joined O'Brien in hitting a maximum earlier in the match.

Glyn Wells and Lee Hardy (29.44) knitted together a fine 34 dart leg over the 1001 distance in a doubles win that came in Victory's 7-6 success over King Billy.

Four 180s littered the matchup overall as Wells put two onto the scoreboard to join efforts from teammate Kevin Evans and a solitary maximum from Kieran Burns for the defeated side.

Evans maximum came in a last leg shootout with the scores tied at 6-6, which Evans put away to give his side the spoils of a contest the Honicknowle side had led 3-1 and 5-2 before being pegged back.

A 12-1 win for Kings Tamerton over Mainstone contained a 36 darter from John Brownlow (27.81) as well as the highest checkout of the week from Keith Blight who nailed 97 in a single visit.

Dave Jarvis (25.67) fired a 39 dart 1001 leg in a 7-6 win for Falstaff at home to Windmill that came down to Andy Tremaine's final individual win in the last leg of the tie.

Octagon claimed all the points on offer at Ker St in a 13-0 win whilst Pennycross and Tradesmans B took a 9-4 successes from their visits to Weston Mill Oak Villa and Cherry Tree respectively.
