Seventeen For Evergreen Mann

Individual leader John Mann hit a quite ridiculous seventeen three figure scores in King Billy A's 7-4 win over Victory A in the Steve Chapman 501 League.

One of those efforts was the highest checkout of the match; a 118 kill that beat teammate Andrew Cook's 112 finish.

Cook's finish was one of eleven three figure scores he chalked up personally in the contest, a feat that was matched by Victory's Darren Collis.

Collis's teammate Scott Lawrey joined the Devonport side's Antony Hayman in reaching ten three figure scores with Hayman also hitting the only maximum of the match.

Dave Johns paired with Warren Gordon to produced a stunning 14 dart 601 leg in Kings Arms 6-5 defeat of Octagon.

That remarkable feat of a 128.79 three dart average is just three darts off the world record perfect game across that distance achieved by Brian Rowling of Surrey in 1993.

Johns helped himself to a brace of maximums on the night with teammates Gordon and Dave Algar also firing one each.

Gordon's 100 checkout was beaten by Octagon's Jayden Dodd's 119 with the Stonehouse marksman also scoring thirteen other three figure scores to take his tally to fourteen overall.

Gordon was undoubtedly one of the stars of the show and the heroics continued as he secured the winning point in a 3-1 win during the last tie of the match.

That defeat allowed King Billy B to steal a march over their close rivals for second spot after their 7-4 win against St Levans.

St Levans were as many as 3-1 and 4-1 up in a spell in which Tex Pearce secured the highest checkout of the week; a 123 finish in one visit.

The 'Billy Boyz' rallied securing five of the six singles games with Mark Shears, who hit thirteen ton plusses on the night, starting off that run thanks to most of a thirteen ton haul.

Billy Evans then roundly defeated Devon teammate Mike Pearce 3-0 with legs of 18 and 16 in spite of Pearce's twelve tons overall that included in a maximum.

Mark Yeoman and Matt Chegwin both hit maximums for the victors whilst the singles performance of the night went to Scott Wapshot (26.83).

Wapshott hit a leg in 15 and eleven three figure scores overall in a top performance individually, and for the team.

Two of the bottom three teams both lost all points on offer with Fawn A defeated by Torpoint Cons and Fawn B mauling joint bottom side Indian.

Neil Reid's 120 checkout was the only noteworthy moment in the Cornwall team's win whilst Jaden Whitting joined Lee Agar in hitting a maximum in the Greenbank team's whitewash.

Agar was the top scorer with eleven tons whilst Mike O'Brien also reached double figures for the victors.

Agar's 16 dart leg beat the effort of Fred Goldsmith by one in a match in which the Fawn only dropped five legs over the course of the match.
