Simon Says, "Follow Me To Success!"
Simon Stevenson once again lit up proceedings for Cornwall Gate in the Plymouth City Super League Division A with sixteen scores of a ton or more to lead his team to a 6-5 success at Cherry Tree A.

Amongst that mammoth total was a checkout of 151 that was the best finish of both the contest and week across all fixtures.
Teammate Shaun Dring added the only maximum of the matchup and made himself the hero with a 3-1 individual win that came when throwing last with the scores tied at 5-5.

Stevenson's 3-1 triumph over Dave Lee saw legs of 18, 17 and 12 darts for the victor whilst Lee's solitary riposte was put away in just 14 darts as Lee finished his innings on ten tons overall.
Nick Miller helped himself to a 14 darter in a 3-0 triumph whilst the best checkout from the defeated team came from the arm of Steve Mills at the first time of asking from 90.

The dominant Octagon were 10-1 winners at Cherry Tree C and had John Mann at his majestic best with fifteen scores of a ton or more.
Mann was supported by Lee Hellings who nailed one of the four maximums and a 109 checkout on his way to eleven ton plusses.

Neil White was also in good nick with ten three figure visits whilst the other 180s in the game went to the trio of Paul Palmer, Alfie Ford and Fred Goldsmith.
In the team phase of play, the visitors from Stonehouse took all but one of the first five points with the best effort coming from White and Palmer with a 21 dart 601 doubles leg.

Mann (25.38) started the individual section of the draw with a 3-2 triumph over eleven ton hitter Frankie Stout which saw Mann plunder legs in 13 and 18 darts.
Palmer was a 3-0 winner thanks in part to his 15 darter before Ford came through a tough test 3-2 thanks to what turned out to be a crucial 17 dart leg.

Hellings continued the barrage of points with a 3-0 win that contained a leg in 18 before White and Goldsmith also provided 3-0 successes with 17 and 16 darters in their respective victories.
A fourteen ton barrage from Kevin Seal couldn't arrest Clifton's slide to an 8-3 defeat at the hands of Steampacket.

Seal's tally was propped up to that huge total by a 112 checkout that was bettered twice in the game by the successful away side.
Neal Hotchkiss' 122 three dart combo was usurped by a fabulous 131 from the arm of George Beckett whilst three maximums in the game were shared in favour of the victors.

Seal's stablemate Wayne Town added his team's only three treble visit whilst Luke Johnson and Marc Webber both struck for Beckett's side.
Johnson's maxi ticked his ton total over to the 13 mark and he came through a tough test against Town 3-2 with a 13 darter proving crucial in deciding the outcome.

Glenn Halford's fourteen ton bonanza went a long way to helping decide the Bluebird A's 6-5 success against King Billy.
Halford's teammate Glenn Austin was also influential with an eleven ton haul and also made sure of the result with a 3-1 triumph in the last singles rubber.

A doubles match featuring Halford and teammate Lee Roberts saw both a 16 darts over the 601 distance and a 123 checkout from the latter.
That bettered Kev Lofthouse's 102 three dart combination out, which wasn't the only highlight of Lofthouse's night.

Lofthouse was also a 3-0 winner with his best leg coming in just 16 darts over the 501 course played in the individuals.
Lofthouse's teammate Alec Turner was consistent throughout with eleven ton plusses whilst Paul Goundry added the game's only maximum for the defeated team.

Simon Washington heard scores of a more called no fewer than twelve times for Bluebird B but still found himself on the wrong end of a 7-4 defeat as Kings Arms B claimed the spoils.
A 180 was added to that Washington tally whilst the other three went to the away side with Roger Backway, Dave Johns and Paul Carpenter adding a solitary effort each.

Simon Kelly dominated the visitors from Oreston's scoring power with eleven tons overall whilst there was some explosive tungsten at the business end of legs.
Owen Cook's 96 kill was the only effort to better a 74 by Kelly whilst Johns was a 3-0 winner in the individual phase with legs in 17 and 16 darts his and the game's best.

Indian Inn B's 11-0 triumph over Ker St saw Scott Wapshott top score with twelve tons with supporting acts coming from Dan Brazier and Paul Gavican.
Both men reached the eleven ton mark for their night's work with Brazier's tally ticked over to that mark by a 126 combination out.

That effort pushed Wapshott's 122 into second best whilst Wapshott and Gavican joined teammate Mark Shears in hitting one of the three maximums apiece.
Brazier's night wasn't finished there as his heroics also stretched to a 15 dart leg in a 3-1 individual triumph that saw one of just three legs picked up by the beleaguered visitors from Devonport.
