Stan The Man For New Leaders

Beacon Park now top the standings in the Plymouth Open League Division A after an action packed 9-2 win over fourth placed Lugger A.



The evergreen Stan Preen's maximum was the only one of it's kind in the dominant win whilst teammate Nick Bryant checked 117 in a single visit to claim the high checkout honours.


Victory Inn drop a position to second place despite returning home from their away day at third placed Falstaff A with a notable 7-4 win.



Victory's Neil White joined Dave Jarvis for the defeated team in hitting a maximum each on the night whilst Mike Connell's 80 finish was the best of all eighteen winning checkouts.


Dan Capel fired a 112 checkout in the only point won by Mainstone B during a 10-1 defeat at the hands of St Johnstone B.



Weston Mill Oak Villa had Kevin Evans and Ralph Lancaster in vintage form as the away side claimed an 8-3 win over Ker St A.


Evans checked 114 in a single visit whilst Lancaster's 180 was the perfect riposte to one from Rob May for the defeated team.



Bill Daley's 180 helped St Johnston A to a 6-5 over Fortescue; for whom Lee Medway checked a leg at the first time of asking from 90.


Lewis Byrne's maximum was the only one of it's kind during a 9-2 win for Ker St C on the road at Weston Mill whilst Cherry Tree B took an 8-3 win in their tie with Prince Maurice despite Will Broome's 84 checkout.



In Division B, Legends Lounge continued their title chase with an 8-3 win over Ker St B in which Sean Taylor struck the only maximum as well as a leg in 17 darts during a 2-1 individual triumph.


Fawn continued their push up the standings with a 9-2 away win at Ker St D that saw two of the nonet of points garnered finished with ton plus checkouts.



Dave Jones bagged himself a 100 kill that was only bettered by teammate Dave Clemson whose 110 was proclaimed the best of the match overall.


Fletcher Stephens' 93 out shot couldn't arrest St Levans' slide to a 6-5 loss at Pennycross whilst leaders Lugger B won 11-0 versus King Billy A and Prince Maurice FC secured a 10-1 success over Cherry Tree A.
