Former PDC professional, Jeff Smith, was in the city for one weekend only, joining a host of stars, including Johnny Clayton, Michael Smith, and Ryan Searle, playing in the Devon Darts Showdown at Plymouth Pavilions.

Smith found himself in the Duchy on the Friday before and took it upon himself to compete in the Plymouth City Super League Division B for the Duchy A in their 10-1 win against Hyde Park
Smith (33.40) blitzed his individual game thanks to legs in 17, 15, and 13 darts and ended his night with a maximum that sat nicely in a twelve ton haul.

Smith was slightly upstaged by teammate Martin Dean in the doubles as Dean put up a 136 checkout during a doubles win that also saw a 15 dart 601 leg.
That Dean effort meant teammate Jordan Heath's 119 three dart combination outshot had to settle for second best of the overall contest.

Raffles A continued their march to the league title with a 10-1 win against Herbert A, which saw Simon Wilbraham end his night on twelve three figure visits.
Logan Carroll played his supporting role very well with ten ton plusses, whilst Adam Truscott was the only 180 hitter.

Wilbraham contributed to four excellent checkouts with 74 and 90 combinations, whilst Truscott's 81 settled for third best to a 96 from Adam Fell.
Wilbraham's 17 darter proved crucial in a 3-2 win, which was only bettered by a leg in 14 darts from Truscott that came during a 3-0 victory.

Rhys Castle's ten scores of a ton or more included one of the two 180s that led Firkin Scholar to a 7-4 win at Bluebird B.
Stephen Ebsworth added the other maxi for the victors, whilst Castle also notched the best finish of the contest with a 100 kill that helped decide his 3-2 singles success.

The host's had two players share their high checkout of the match, and both Martin Rich and Jamie Roberts saw 96 go at the first time of asking.
Indian Inn B had David Young reaching ten tons, thanks in part to a 180, but he still found himself on the wrong end of an 8-3 loss as Victoria were successful.

Mid-range outshots also made the highlight reel as Young's stablemate Chris Lancaster and Mick Bingham put away 82 and 94 finishes.
Eleven tons rained down from the arm of both Paul Tackle and Mike Evans, which contributed to a 7-4 win at Herbert B.

Tackle added two 180s to his tally, whilst Evans fired one three treble visit, and Fred Lamerton showed his class with a 131 three dart combination outshot.
Pete Down was the hero of the hour with a 3-0 win that gave Kings Arms A a 6-5 win in the final singles of their battle with Clifton.

Down's best finish of the night was a 96 out, whilst he shared the best leg of 501 with stablemate Dave Algar as the pair added 18 darters to their respective wins.
The only moment of magic in a 9-2 loss for Ker St B against Staddiscombe was a maximum for veteran Cliff Escott.

Fawn B were 11-0 winners against Duchy B, with their main highlight coming in the form of a 78 checkout by Tom Elphick.
