Simon Stevenson came through a field of thirty-four competitors to take his fourth Plymouth City Super League Players Championship crown at a packed Legends Lounge.

Stevenson dropped one leg on his way to the semi-final stage with wins over Paul Goundry by a 3-0 scoreline, Simon Washington succumbed 3-1, and George Beckett made the last eight stage, losing 3-0 to Stevenson.
The man he faced in the last four was Mick Bingham, who opened his night with a 3-1 win against David Young before dispatching Nick Bryant 3-2.

Ben Welsh was Bingham's next victim before Stevenson rattled off fifteen ton plusses in the narrowest of 3-2 successes to reach the final.
In the other section of the draw, Neil White navigated his way through his opening game with a 3-0 triumph against Callum Fradley before Koby Dixon was seen off with a 3-1 win.

Archie Borlase made it to the quarter finals before bowing out to White 3-0, which left Mark Shears between White and a date with the only man keeping him from the top of the Players Championship league standings.
Shears opened his account with a 3-1 win over Ian Heggie before turning over Dave Carroll and Frankie Stout 3-0; the latter of which had knocked out 2019/20 champion, Glenn Halford, in the Round of 16.

Shears fired a 180 in the opening leg, but White took the spoils in that one before Shears roared back with a 98 checkout in the second, whilst taking the third to put him on the brink of victory.
White took the match to the final leg before nailing a 180 in the decider to give him a shot at a Super League individual and Players Championship combination.

However, Stevenson was in no mood to let his shot at becoming a quadruple time champion slip as he ran out a 4-0 winner in the final, thanks to a 180 that topped his ton total in the matchup to the ten mark.
