Tommy Taylor Combo Fires
Sean Taylor and Tommy Graham (29.44) knitted together a 1001 doubles game in just 34 darts during Legends Lounge's Louis Yates Plymouth & District Darts League 11-2 defeat against Tradesmans A.
Taylor's night ended with eleven tons to his name and a defeat to Mike O'Brien (27.81) who had to perform his own heroics to defeat the in form man.
O'Brien's 36 darter over the 1001 individuals was enough to best Taylor with O'Brien also taking the plaudits with a 91 combination out that was the best of the match.
The reigning champions sextet of O'Brien, Andrew Nation, Jayden Dodd, Ben Waters, Paul Nash and Andy Waters (26.34) gelled well from the first 'game on' call with a 38 darter in the two point team game.
Waters (26.34) matched that feat in his singles with a leg finished in 38 of his own whilst Taylor's teammate Kev Stout fired the only maximum of the matchup overall.
Kieran Burns (27.05) added a 37 dart leg to his twelve tons in an 11-2 loss for King Billy at Victory who close the gap at the top to five points in the exciting title race.
Burns' leg was matched by long time former teammate Glyn Wells (27.05) who also nailed a 37 darter for the victorious home side.
Wells' teammate Jordan Grimshaw performed throughout with a maximum topping up his ton tally to the ten mark.
Al Martin's 116 three dart combination out shot was the best nailed in the game week and contributed to a 9-4 success for Windmill at home versus Falstaff.
Simon Washington's 99 checkout and maximum dominated leaders Kings Tamerton 8-5 win during a visit to Mainstone whilst Pennycross were 10-3 winners over Weston Mill Oak Villa.
Octagon's 8-5 victory over bottom side Ker St was lit up by a maximum from Paul Barclay and a checkout of 76 by Dan Nixon gave Cherry Tree one of the five points they plundered in an 8-5 loss at Tradesmans B.
