Trades-Mann To Be Feared

John Mann (30.06) showed the Monday Premier League why he is the most consistent player on the Plymouth darts circuit with a majestic win in an 11-0 success for champions elect, Tradesmans, over Bluebird B.

Mann's victim by a 3-1 score line was another top player in the form of Glenn Halford who succumbed to Mann despite a leg in 18, which was no riposte for Mann's 16 and 15 darters.

After that onslaught in the individual phase, Mann finished his night on thirteen tons, which meant that Whitting's ten tons had to settle for the next best with ten tons of his own.

Simon Washington and Fred Goldsmith added 180s to the scoreboard whilst the only member of the home team to put a three treble visit onto the scoreboard was Glenn Austin.

Luke Johnson's sixteen three figure scores gave Victory the catalyst to find their way to an 8-3 home triumph against Bluebird A.

Johnson's teammates heard 180s called after throwing twice as both Scott Lawrey and Alex Roach fired a solitary maximum a piece.

Antony Hayman might've finished on fourteen tons for King Billy A, but that performance couldn't arrest the visitors' slide to a 7-4 defeat away at Octagon B.

Ryan Ring recorded a famous win over the former Devon, Cornwall and Hampshire county player with a 16 darter providing suitable retort to a Hayman leg in 17 during Ring's 3-2 success.

Ring was also the only 180 hitter for the home side to join Alec Turner in achieving that feat whilst Hayman's teammate Andrew Cook checked a leg in 18 during his 3-1 reversal.

A second 18 darter of the match for the Devonport side was claimed by Brandon Hartley in a 3-2 loss whilst Dave Pethick's 90 checkout was the best plundered by any of the twelve on display.

Lee Hellings top scored with thirteen tons during third placed Octagon's 6-5 success over King Billy B who had Paul Gavican in good nick.

Gavican's twelve tons couldn't quite ignite his side's push for a fifth win of the campaign whilst Hellings joined a trio of other competitors in nailing a maximum.

Gavican's teammate Scott Cook added one of those whilst Hellings was joined by Jayden Dodd and Alfie Ford in hearing '180' called after throwing.

Ford also managed a 102 checkout for the best of the contest whilst the game was littered with world class tungsten through a number of short legs.

Hellings joined teammate Paul Palmer to put together a 601 leg in just 17 darts whilst Dodd won 3-2 thanks in part to a leg in 16 darts.

Gavican repeated Dodd's feat in his 3-2 singles win to put his side 5-4 up but Hellings had the last laugh when winning 3-0 in the final singles rubber with the help of a leg in 18.

Mike Whatley outgunned his teammates with ten tons to lead Cherry Tree A to a 6-5 success over Colebrook in which Gary Clarke won the eleventh and deciding point 3-1.

Whatley's total was accented by a 111 checkout that was the best of the matchup and week across all fixtures whilst two players from the defeated side made it to ten tons.

Zak Smith finished on that sum whilst the cherry on top of Andy Bond's dectet was the only maximum of the entertaining clash that saw the Plympton outfit surrender leads of 3-0, 4-1 and 5-2.

A 180 from George Beckett could stop Cherry Tree B from falling to a last tie loss at home versus Indian as Lee Wyatt won 3-0 when playing last in the individuals with the score tied at 5-5.
