Tradesmans A Crowned Back To Back Champions
The Plymouth & District Friday Darts League title was won with a game to spare as Tradesmans A's 12-1 success over Brewery Tap handed them a second crown in a row.
Dan Perryman lit up the title precession with a 93 checkout whilst teammates Richard Wheatley and Nick Dodd also added maximums for the title winners.
Victory, who were pipped to the title, came away from their home match with Ker St B with a 10-3 success with a Jordon Grimshaw 180 being the only noteworthy contribution to proceedings.
Another winning side by double figures was the Queen and Constitution who finished their penultimate game of the campaign 10-3 over Ker St A.
Kev Crowley and Andrew Nation (28.60) paired for the least number of darts honours for the week as they checked 1001 in just 35 darts during King Billy's 12-1 success over Lugger.
Crowley was in majestic form with ten tons and a checkout of 96 during the game whilst teammates Ryan Ring and Ant Pearn added a maximum each for the Devonport side.
King Billy finish the season comfortably third in the standings whilst Lugger have the unenviable title of finishing bottom of the sixteen team pile.
Richard Lynch's maximum and Collin Lynch's 91 checkout helped Kings Tamerton get over the line with a 10-3 success over Octagon.
The two main contributions during Queens Arms 11-2 success over Indian Inn came from an Alex Brown maximum with Mark Hatherley replying with an 88 checkout for the defeated team.
Mainstone were pegged back to 4-4 before winning four out of the last five to take an 8-5 triumph away at Grenville.
That result meant Tradesmans B had to settle for third from bottom in the final standings after going down 9-4 against Pennycross.
