Victory All White On The Night

Top team in the league Victory wrapped up their place in the next round of the Plymouth Open League knockout cup after winning the first three rubbers before ending 7-4 against Falstaff A to make it 16-6.

Neil White added a trio of maximums for the victorious side whilst there was a fourth in the match as Lee Doncaster struck one three treble effort.

Alex Brown's 94 checkout bettered a 77 from Mike Connell whilst Connell and Doncaster both won a leg in 18 darts in the match.

Mainstone B crashed out 14-8 despite winning the second leg against St Johnston B 6-5; a game that saw Dan Capel and Tyler Borthwick hit maximums.

Tom Graham's 180 was in vain as Legends Lounge were dumped out by Cherry Tree B who added another 7-4 win to go with the first leg result to make it 14-8.

Ralph Lancaster threw a maximum for Weston Mill Oak Villa as they claimed an 11-0 win over Cherry Tree A to produce the biggest two leg win; 19-3 over the two nights to become the biggest aggregate winners.

Matt Abbott was also in good form for the victors as he nailed a 92 checkout for the highest of this particular matchup.

Aaron Wells nailed a 103 checkout as Ker St C got over the line in a 6-5 triumph that left the tie at 13-9 to the Devonport team.

There was a gulf in the score line between Division A's 11th and 12th placed sides as Fortescue won 9-2 at home over Ker St A to make it 17-5 over the two legs.

Lugger A wrapped up a 13-9 win over Beacon Park who had Nick Bryant checking 110 in a single visit to the board in the narrow 7-4 second leg defeat.

Ryan Carter added a 110 checkout in a second 9-2 win for Fawn over King Billy B to make it 18-4 overall between the two Division B rivals who had Jan McGinley firing a 180 in the game.

A top versus bottom of Division B clash saw the difference between Ker St D and Pennycross end at 18-4 with the latter winning 8-3 to go with a first leg 10-1; Rob Ryder's 104 checkout giving the defeated some solace.

Jack Wilkinson provided a bright spark with a 110 checkout but still ended on the wrong side of an 8-3 loss as the Prince Maurice pub defeated local rivals Prince Maurice FC to progress 13-9 on aggregate.

A 96 checkout from Keith Johnson put the icing on the cake for Lugger B who booked a spot in the knockout cup second stage with a 9-2 second leg win making it 17-5 overall.

A brace of maximums from Kev Hulcoop helped St Johnston A take St Levans to a play off after a complete reversal in the first leg score line; the former winning 7-4.

However, Fletcher Stephens and Ian Duncan won the final playoff doubles game to progress in a 2-1 the two singles and one doubles playoffs.

King Billy progressed 17-5 overall after an 8-3 win whilst Ker St B of Division B progressed 14-8 after a second leg 6-5 success over Division A's Weston Mill.
