You Are Gold

Fred Goldsmith put on a quite a display in Tradesmans Monday Premier League title party with seventeen three figure scores as the champions signed off their campaign with a 10-1 win over Victory A in a rearranged fixture.

Goldsmith's tally included a magnificent three dart combination outshot of 156, which was the only effort on the night to better Lee Agar's 121 kill.

Goldsmith's teammate Andy Bates was the joint second highest scoring player with thirteen tons, a total matched by John Mann.

Mann added one of the five maximums put onto the scoreboard as Tony Lamerton fired his team's second of the game.

Jaden Whitting heard scores of a ton or more called after throwing ten times whilst the best totals from the supporting Victory cast came from Quinton Taylor and Tony Tasker.

Tasker added a brace of maximums whilst the quintet of three treble visits was completed by Tasker's teammate Luke Johnson.

The excellent display wasn't curtailed to the scoring phase of play with a number of short legs headlined by a 16 dart 601 leg from Goldsmith and Whitting in the doubles phase of play.

Mann's 14 darter followed a leg in 16 during his 3-0 win that gave him the individual title ahead of stablemate Agar in second.

A 15 darter from Goldsmith in a 3-1 win was added to a leg in 18 whilst Whitting and Taylor both checked a leg in 16 during a 3-1 success for the former.

Victory C were the other side that had an extra game to play after the final scheduled week with the Honicknowle side suffering a 7-4 loss to Bluebird B in which Chris Beale netted the game's only maximum.
