Staddy first through the 100-point barrier

THE Staddy became the first team to go through the 100-point barrier in the Plymouth City Super League, when they defeated Ker St Social Club 10-1, to top the table by an eight-point margin.

Tony Gordon was their leading marksman with 14 ton plus throws and he won his singles in three straight legs, with his best coming in 14 darts.

Second placed Porters B defeated Maritime B 9-2 in a high-scoring encounter that produced 113 throws of a ton or more.

John Mann hit no fewer than 20 for the winners while Scott Lawrey was Maritime’s talisman and notched three maximums in a 13-ton haul.

St Levan Inn went down 7-4 away at Clifton A but not before they had Maria O’Brien registering the week’s top checkout with a kill of 156 which came in a 3-0 singles victory.

Dartsworld secured all but one of the 11 points that were on offer away at Ships Tavern.

Simon Stevenson partnered Mark Turner to a double’s win in 26 (38.50) before going on to take his singles in three straight legs, two of which were won in 15.

Keelan Kay also caught the eye for the winners when top-scoring with 13 ton plus throws, five of which were 140s.

WEEK'S BEST: Maria O'Brien registered the highest checkout of the week when finishing at the first time of asking from 156 in a 3-0 singles victory

Dave Collins (100x16) inspired Plympton Cons A to a win by the narrowest of margins when hosting Octagon Social Club while Maritime A defeated Kings Arms A 9-2 for whom Henry Cooper took out a 14 dart leg in a 3-1 singles success.

The Albemarle overcame Hyde Park 8-3 while The Fawn and Kings Arms B were both 6-5 winners against Porters A and Plympton Cons B respectively.
