MARITIME A showed their title credentials when they defeated their Monday Premier League rivals for the second time in the campaign, preserving their winning run of 19 matches.
They were convincing 8-3 winners away at Porters A and now command a lead of nine points at the top of the table.
The fixture produced six maximum scores, three of which were recorded by Maritime’s Scott Hutchinson while for Porters, John Mann won 3-1 in 19, 19 and 16 and Scott Wapshott (100x13) top scored.

YOUNG TALENT: Fifteen-year-old Jordan Grimshaw saved City Social from a whitewash when he emerged as their only winner in a 10-1 defeat by Firkin Scholar.
Octagon Social Club defeated Brookside B 10-1, dropping just two legs in the individual phases while there were 7-4 victories for both Steam Packet and Prince Maurice A against Prince Maurice B and Steam Packet B respectively.
