Porters B extend their unbeaten run to 20 games

PORTERS B extended their unbeaten run to 20 games in the Plymouth City Super League and won the bragging rights when they defeated their stablemates Porters A 10-1.

John Mann top scored with 15 throws of a ton or more, with no fewer than 10 coming in a 3-0 singles victory.

The league leaders were further buoyed when Scott Wapshott threw the week’s highest checkout when finishing at the first time of asking from 150.

Title rivals The Staddy, defeated Ships Tavern 9-2 while Dartsworld also stayed in contention when they took all but one of the 11 points that were on offer away at Hyde Park Social Club.

Plympton Cons A were rampant in their 11-0 defeat of Victoria, not dropping a single leg in the six individual games while Maritime B returned from Kings Arms A with a 9-2 result.

Lee Doncaster (100x13) was the leading marksman as the A team won the Clifton derby match 11-0 while Ker St Social Club defeated Compton 7-4 and The Fawn won 9-2 when hosting St Levan Inn.

Octagon Social Club overcame Plympton Cons B 8-3, but two eye-catching performances came from the Con’s duo of Andy Bond and John Petherick.

Bond emerged a 3-2 winner aided by a leg in 14 while Petherick won 3-0 after hitting two 17-darters.

Sean Burkitt was on target with two 180s but finished on the wrong end of an 8-3 scoreline when Maritime A were defeated by Kings Arms B for whom Reg Matthews (100x11) top scored.
