Steve Mills lit up the Plymouth City Super League Division A with a 167 single visit combination outshot in an 8-3 defeat for Kings Arms B versus Falstaff.

That checkout proved crucial in deciding a 3-2 singles win that was one of nine matches decided by a solitary leg.

Mills walked away with a thirteen ton plus haul that was only bettered by Simon Kelly, who threw fourteen scores of a ton or more.

Dave Johns also reached thirteen tons for the defeated side, with his best effort coming in the form of a 180, whilst Mike Tucker checked out at the end of his match with ten tons.

The victory was built on ten tons each from the trio of Kelvin Rowe, Tony Tasker, and Paul Goundry, whilst Scott Cook bagged the away team's only maxi.

Paddy Archibald teamed well with Quinton Taylor to put together a 601 doubles leg that fell after just 19 darts were thrown.

Cook was a 3-0 singles winner, thanks in part to a 98 checkout, with Goundry ending on the wrong side of a 3-2 loss despite a leg in 18 being put away.

Nick Bryant's was unlucky to finish on the wrong side of a 6-5 loss as Cherry Tree D were downed by Cherry Tree A after his sixteen ton bonanza.

Phil Hoyle played a decent supporting role with twelve scores of a ton or more, whilst Danny Hoyle added ten three figure visits.

The difference maker for the victors was Fred Goldsmith, who bagged fifteen ton plusses with John Mann and Andy Bates adding maximums to their ten ton hauls.

Bates and Mann (26.71) teamed well in the 601 doubles to secure legs in 22 and 23 darts, whilst Bates matched a 75 kill by Lee Hellings for the best checkout amongst their cohort.

Bryant, however, bettered that combination in a 2-0 pairs success with a single visit combo of 96, which was the biggest finish of the matchup.

Raffles A's 7-4 win over Raffles B saw Craig Hillary and Adam Truscott both reach fifteen three figure visits to lead the team to derby day victory.

Despite ending on the wrong side of the loss, four of the five maximums were provided by the B team as Harry Bull added a brace to solitary efforts from Ryan Fuller and Danny Bull.

That double left Bull on eleven ton plusses for his night's work, whilst Logan Carroll provided the only maximum of the contest for the designated away side.

Lewis Dare was a 3-1 winner in the individual phase, thanks in part to a leg that was put away after just 18 darts were thrown.

Hillary's 16 darter helped him to a win over Danny Bull, who put up a leg in 17 in the single leg he won in a 3-1 turnaround.

Harry Bull threw two 17 darters and an 80 checkout in a 3-0 triumph, which rounded off a successful night personally.

Cherry Tree C's 9-2 win over Ker St A was built on fourteen scores of a ton or more from Cameron O'Brien, who also added one of the four maximums his team managed.

The trio of Steve Towl, Darren Smith, and Frankie Stout all added to that particular stat, whilst Nathan Langdon's 108 combination bettered a 74 from Dave Hollow.

Stout continued his good form in the singles phase with a 3-0 win that contained a leg in 18, whilst O'Brien rounded off the evening with a 3-0 victory that saw one leg put away in 14.

Two 180s adorned a thirteen ton haul for Simon Stevenson, but he still found himself on the wrong end of a 7-4 defeat as Legends Lounge B were downed by Ford Inn.

Mark Shears was the main aggressor for the victors with an eleven ton haul that included one of the two 180s his team managed, with Paul Gavican hitting the other.

James Chudleigh's 3-1 singles success saw one leg put away with a 112 checkout, whilst Stevenson banged in a 123 combo, and legs in 15 and 14 darts during a 3-0 triumph.

Simon Washington added a 180 to his twelve ton haul that gave Tradesmans the platform from which to launch a 7-4 win over Fawn A.

Dave Roberts' 3-1 singles win saw a leg tumble in 17, whilst Jodie Hawton suffered a 3-2 defeat despite a 113 checkout.

Dan Hurley's twelve ton plus visits provided the ammunition to lead Bluebird B to an 8-3 win at Duchy, with Will Broome adding ten tons to provide decent backup for his teammate.

Stablemates Owen Cook and Jon Parsons both added to AJ Brunton's maximum for the defeated party, whilst Hurley showed his class at the business end with a 78 checkout and a 15 dart leg.

George Beckett nailed twelve tons, including one of the three 180s that came in a 6-5 defeat for Steampacket at Bluebird A.

Teammate Kev Doel added to Beckett's three treble visit, whilst Dale Halford chalked up the victors' only maximum.

Kayleigh Adams found a 76 single visit combination outshot, which meant a 72 from Lee Roberts had to settle for the second best of the contest.

Firkin Scholar were on the end of a 10-1 defeat against Legends Lounge A, despite Archie Borlaise firing ten tons and the team securing three of the four maximums.

A Scott Heggie brace added to a solitary three treble visit from Rhys Castle, whilst Liam Taylor found his team's only 180 in his 3-0 singles win.

An explosive 94 checkout from Taylor's teammate Robbie Aitken was one of two moments of brilliance at the business end as Kobi Hayman found a 71 kill of his own.
