Top two teams continue good form with 10-1 victories

THERE is no change at the top of the Monday Premier League table after the leading two sides both won in doubles figures, the only teams to do so.

Porters A had Jon Matlock hitting a brace of 180s and John Mann (100x13) top scoring in their 10-1 defeat of Ford Hotel, while Maritime A were also winners by the same margin.

Billy Evans secured a 3-1 singles victory, aided by a checkout of 132 while Shaun Dring emerged a 3-2 winner in 16, 19 and 17.

Gary Phillips (180x2) won his singles in three straight legs, aided by a leg in 14 as Brookside A triumphed 7-4 over Maritime B while the same winning scoreline was also achieved by Octagon Social Club on their visit to Porters B, the highlight being an outshot of 158, executed by Steve Daley.

GOOD FINISH: Steve Daley inspired Octagon Social Club to a 7-4 victory at Porters B when finishing a the first time of asking from 158.

But that mark was bettered by Indian B’s Mike Miller for the week’s highest, when he finished at the first time of asking from 160.

The feat came in an 8-3 defeat by Brookside C for whom Matthew Toms top scored with 13 ton plus throws including two maximums.

Prince Maurice B won 7-4 away at City Social while Prince Maurice A just got the better of Indian Inn A by a 6-5 margin.

Firkin Scholar also won by the odd game of 11, taking the last four singles after trailing 5-2, with Mark Hatherley (100x17) beginning the revival.

Steam Packet’s Neil White and Rob May won their doubles which included a 601 leg in 18 darts and White was again on target in a solid single’s win aided by a leg in 15 as was Quinton Taylor.
