Two former world champions coming to Plymouth

DINKY Diner Dartsworld is bringing two former world darts champions to Plymouth over the next few months.

Dennis “The Menace” Priestley, who became the PDC’s first World Champion in 1994 and made the final another four times, losing only to Phil Taylor, will be appearing at the Pembroke Street café on Saturday, June 9.

The night will be a fund-raising evening for Prostate Cancer and £5 from the sale of each ticket will go to the charity.

Tickets are priced at £25 which will include a drink and a burger and the purchase of two tickets will guarantee a spot, to play a leg of darts against The Menace himself.

In July, Adrian Lewis, the world champion in 2011 and 2012 will also be appearing in the city.

On Saturday, July 7, at the Tamar View Social Club, “Jackpot” will be taking on all comers and a VIP meet and greet is also available to his many admirers.

General tickets are now on sale at £20 but £60 will get you a VIP ticket where ticket holders will be able to chat with Adrian, get photos taken and have any items of memorabilia signed.

Tickets for both promotions can be obtained from the Dartsworld Café in Pembroke Street, Devonport, and further details can be obtained from contacting Graham Jones on 07745810774.
